Foodfight! review
$10.05 This World War II comedy stars Cary Grant in an uncharacteristic turn as Walter Eckland. Walter is an unshaven bum who inhabits a deserted island in the South Seas. Completely boozed up, unshaven, and badly dressed, Walter is a watcher for Japanese spy planes. An Australian Navy Commander, Frank Houghton (Trevor Howard) has pressed Walter, who once had his own cruiser at the beginning of the war, to become the sole occupant of a strategic watching station. It is into this world that smart and sexy Catherine Frenau (Leslie Caron) is drawn when Walter, en route in a dinghy to rescue another watcher, stumbles on to the schoolteacher and a flock of seven young girls. The girls have been marooned because their pilot was ordered to leave them to rescue the survivors of an abandoned ...

Robert Costanzo is one of those longtime character actors. Audiences instantly recognize him but they don't know his name. A veteran of small parts in more than 200 movies and television series, including SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, NYPD BLUE, FRIENDS, and THE FLAMINGO KID, Costanzo finally gets his chance to play the lead in Philip Frank Messina's WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE..., in which he stars as Johnny DiMartino, a longtime character actor who's finally up for the lead role in a major motion picture, Martin Scorsese's biopic of mobster Al Capone. Johnny is a happy family guy; WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE... opens as he and his wife, Hannah (Amy Madigan), are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, with best friends Armand Minetti (David Strathairn), Dorian Mastandrea (Jon Tenney), and Steve Hersh (Adam Arkin), his poker-playing buddies and fellow character actors. They all fawn over morose producer Maurice Melnick (Bill Murray), who is only there ...

Foodfight! review
In Piyush Dinker Pandya's vibrant debut feature, the thoroughly Americanized Krishnagopal Reddy (Deep Katdare) feels exhilarated upon leaving his parents' home (and their traditional Indian ways) for his first year of college. But that feeling is quickly punctured when he discovers his three roommates are also Indian. "Kris"--the nickname he vehemently insists on being called--initially shuns his roommates and recoils from their easy acceptance of his Indian roots. But he soon finds himself seeking their help, guidance, and jocular companionship when he falls hard for a beautiful Indian girl, Nina (Purva Bedi).
The young actors who play Kris's Indian friends steal the show. ...

$23.15 The silver-screen version of SEX AND THE CITY is sure to inspire lust, though it may not be after its sexy male cast. Instead, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends wear enviable fashions from the industry's biggest names such as Zac Posen, Louis Vuitton, and, of course, Manolo Blahnik, and their gorgeous clothes--and accessories--threaten to steal the show. But for fans of the series' wit, drama, and sex, there's plenty to like in this romantic comedy filled with familiar characters. Though four years have passed since the events of the series, not much has changed as the film begins: Carrie and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) are happy as they search for an apartment, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is blissful with her husband (Evan Handler) and adopted daughter, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) is still with actor Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is trying to balance life as a mother, wife, and lawyer as she lives in Brooklyn with Steve (David Eigenberg). But Carrie and Big's apartment hunt leads them down the road to marriage, and the destination may not be quite everything Carrie hoped for.
Though the film runs nearly two and a half hours, it flies by the way a marathon of episodes would for the devoted. Even minor characters from the show--Vogue editor Enid Frick (Candice Bergen), beloved Carrie pal Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson), and hyper wedding planner Anthony Marentino (Mario Canton)--make fan-pleasing appearances. ...

Foodfight! review
$14.59 Love conquers even the relentlessly foulmouthed Lothario played by master-class comic Dane Cook (GOOD LUCK CHUCK) in MY BEST FRIEND'S GIRL. Tank (Cook) moonlights as an "emotional terrorist," which means when a guy wants to keep a girl from dumping him, he hires Tank to intervene. Tank arranges an accidental meeting with the girl, charms her at first, then takes her through the worst date of her life, sending her running back to the safety of his client. Jason Biggs (AMERICAN PIE) is Dustin, the nerd who wants his best pal Tank to work his magic on Alexis (Kate Hudson), the stunning girl from work who "just wants to be friends." Dustin makes a big mistake, since Alexis herself is looking for the raunchy fling Tanks offers, and Tank suddenly finds himself in the position to betray Dustin's trust. Taking a page from the ...
