That's What I Am Here For album
$18.25 Procol Harum's first album was originally released without the inclusion of "A Whiter Shade of Pale," a song that had been a monumental hit just before the LP appeared. In subsequent releases, the running order of the album was slightly changed and "Good Captain Clack" was omitted to make room for the hit that the public expected. What further confused matters was the fact that the debut was available variously as a self-titled release and as A WHITER SHADE OF PALE, both of which featured the new track ordering.
In any event, Procol Harum's debut ...

| | Traffic CD (1968) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
That's What I Am Here For songs
$6.49 On their second album, the cottage dwellers from Berkshire refined their hippie pop into a looser and vastly more mature work: evocative tales of nonsense in the beautiful "40,000 Headmen," joyful malarkey with Mason's "You Can All Join In," and one of his finest songs, "Feelin Alright," which was a signpost to his imminent departure. Throughout the record Jim Capaldi's understated yet steady drums demonstrate just what a great rock drummer should do, and Chris Wood's sound is everywhere, with trills on flute and blasts on saxophone. TRAFFIC is a record that will always be meant for glorious sunny days.
After dispensing with his services in December 1967, the remaining members of Traffic reinstated Dave Mason in the group in the spring of 1968 as they struggled to write enough material for their impending second album. The result was a disc evenly divided between Mason's catchy folk-rock compositions and Steve Winwood's compelling rock jams. Mason's material was the most appealing both initially and eventually: the lead-off track, a jaunty effort called "You Can All Join In," became a European hit, and "Feelin' Alright?" turned out to be the only real standard to emerge from the album ...
| | Roy Buchanan/Second Album CD (2002) (Import) United Kingdom
That's What I Am Here For album
$18.29 This two-fer CD gathers both of folk-rock guitarist Roy Buchanan's first two albums for Polydor Records, ROY BUCHANAN and SECOND ALBUM, including "I Am A Lonesome Fugitive" and "She Once Lived Here."
Roy Buchanan's SECOND ALBUM is more cohesive and, in general, provides a better showcase for the guitarist's dazzling chops than did his first studio album. With a solid emphasis on blues material, SECOND ALBUM delivers track after track of Buch's sizzling instrumental work. His fluid lines--which range from sensitive, meticulously crafted melodies to frenetic, high-necked wailing--fly from his Telecaster with seeming liquidity while his unique, tone-clean (yet manipulated with volume knobs) deft fingering prove he is no average axeslinger.
Roy's band, which includes most of the same members as SECOND's predecessor, provide no-nonsense backing throughout, with fewer tracks featuring the vocals of ...
| | Roy Buchanan My Babe CD (1981) (Import) United Kingdom
That's What I Am Here For CD music
$29.79 Buchanan was a terrific guitarist, but My Babe is not the place to hear him in his glory. Too often, the album is dragged down by slick production and Paul Jacobs' overbearing vocals. Buchanan's playing is fairly good, but he sounds a little uninspired, which is understandable, considering his surroundings. ~ Stephen Thomas ...
| | Jimmy Thackery Trouble Man CD (1994)
That's What I Am Here For music CDs
$13.45 All songs written or co-written by James Thackery except "Bullfrog" (Harris), "Mercury Blues" (K.C. Douglas) and "Don't Lose Your Cool" (Albert Collins).
Trouble Man is a hard-driving blues-rock album, with more emphasis on the "rock" than Thackery's other releases. It slows down just long enough for the slightly dark "Lovin' You Right" and the jazzy "Anchor to a Drowning Man," arguably the best cut here. "Doin' 100" and the instrumental "Hang Up and Drive" have a strong Stevie Ray Vaughan sound. ...
