| | Paradox Hiatus CD Paradox Discography of CDs
After a two-year reprieve amidst the heavy humanity of life in Belize, Paradox has returned “home” with a head-full of experiences, an altered perspective on the United States, and a commitment to promoting positive change through music. ‘Hiatus’ is the first solo effort from Paradox, but with this release he shows himself to be no rookie on the mic, spitting observational wisdom about the things he’s seen and the people he’s known like a true old soul. Despite Belize’s influence, as heard in the heartfelt storytelling and thought-provoking introspection found throughout, ‘Hiatus’ remains firmly grounded in the boom bap tradition with its flurry of witty wordplay and braggadocios punch-lines. Not your average rapper, Paradox has something to tell you and plenty vocabulary to do it. Currently residing in Austin, TX, the “live music capital of the world,” Paradox has already started to make a name for himself as a crowd-pleasing performer. Before completing ‘Hiatus,’ Paradox was a member of the group 49 Stories, which shared stages with such hip hop favorites as Awol One, Josh Martinez, Mr. Lif, Fakts One, DJ Moves, MC Paul Barman, Grayskul, and Sleep of Oldominion. In 2003, 49 Stories dropped an album entitled ‘Blind Faith’ to considerable praise from critics and fans alike. In the words of one reviewer from hiphophotspot.com, “If one was to define meaning in hip hop music on a universal level, Blind Faith would sum it up... 49 Stories is a highly talented group that easily impresses fans with every word, rhyme, beat, and song.”Voicebox Records is the label that brought you:AES – ‘May to December’ (2003)Sentence – ‘There and Back’ (2005)Shovel – Self-Titled (2006)Booking & Publicity Contact:Matt Klassen469.867.8050Paradox@ParadoxHipHop.com Hiatus Music | List Price | $7.97 (You save $1.58) | | Category | Rock/Pop Albums, R&B CDs, Rap | | Label | Voicebox | | Orig Year | 2006 | | CD Universe Part number | 7051340 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Apr 27, 2006 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo |

Hiatus album
$11.18 After his aborted, internet-leaked 2008 album, 12 PLAY: 4TH QUARTER, R. Kelly busied himself with guest spots for Beyonce, T-Pain, and Kanye West, even offering a free download on iTunes, "I Believe," inspired by the election of president Barack Obama. While such moves insured that Kelly would never stray far from the R&B throne he's occupied for more than a decade, his 2009 reboot of 12 PLAY, UNTITLED, should provide more than enough reason for fans to keep coming back for more. From Auto Tune-laden crowd pleasers like "Outta the Game" ...

Hiatus music CDs
$8.99 Pink's insistently hooky, attitude-filled pop-rock has kept the singer a fixture on the radio and on singles charts since the early 2000s. The artist's fifth effort, FUNHOUSE, doesn't tamper with the formula: Pink's powerhouse vocals and in-your-face approach, backed by stadium-sized production, are in full effect on all 12 tracks. Even though the album deals primarily with aftermath of her divorce and includes serious moments of self-confrontation like "Sober," fans needn't ...

| | Joss Stone Colour Me Free! CD (2009) Import
Hiatus CD music
$30.38 The "free" in the title to Joss Stone's fourth album apparently refers to the neo-singer breaking free from the shackles of her major label, EMI, who apparently have not let Joss be Joss. That this constricting argument happens to be the exact same story line Stone used for 2007's Introducing Joss Stone, the splashy diva power trip meant to unveil the "real" singer, is conveniently forgotten, as is the modern R&B of that makeover, with Joss returning to all the retro-soul of her first two records. The one lingering element of Introducing is a propensity for melisma-laden oversinging, a tic that stands out in the warmer, funkier settings of Colour Me Free! Still, her raw vocal skills remain impressive, as does her taste in soul, and this does beat with a messy human heart. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

$9.59 Reverse Priorities BioVancouver's own Reverse Priorities believes in doing things right. Emerging from the underground hip-hop community high off the smoke of their first two independent releases, R.P. is set to build on that success with a new collection of compelling songs. Add to the mix R.P.'s undeniable stage presence and diverse cultural appeal and you see a group that is set to blossom into full color and rise out of its underground roots. The 5 members of Reverse Priorities have all been friends for close to 10 years. Fayaz Bardai (28), Lee Edmondson (25) and Greg Labine (26) are rappers/lyricists, J.T. Edmondson (27) is a rapper/lyricist and producer and Marvin Merisca (28) is the resident DJ. On stage the 5 crew members go by the names Dlux, Illucid, Spokes, J.T. and M.V. respectively. M.V. is also a member of "The Dream Team", a well-known local DJ team and spins vinyl at clubs throughout Vancouver and his hometown of Montreal. For the past two years, R.P. has been receiving positive feedback and favorable reviews alike. Their first single "Straight High" has had consistent airplay on Vancouver radio giant 99.3 The Fox during their independent hours and is a favorite of local radio host Trace Ventura. "Straight High" has also been heard in several prime time slots on The Fox and is receiving "much love" from listeners as well.Reverse Priorities have been tearing the roofs off venues for quite some time now. As one of the few independent hip-hop groups that can pack the house and keep the honeys "shakin their booties" every night, R.P. has also shared the stage with a wide range of acts. Shocore, Organik, Sweatshop Union, Rhymes With Orange, Ten Ways From Sunday and Crop Circle are just a few of the killer groups that have performed alongside of Reverse Priorities. In 2001, Reverse Priorities were semi-finalists in 99.3 The Fox's BandFEST competition and since then the group has been a mainstay in the Vancouver music scene. The new self-titled CD "Reverse Priorities" ...
