The soundtrack to the Bratz movie GENIE MAGIC finds the animated girl group moving away from the rock sound of their debut, BRATZ ROCK ANGELS, and more into a hip-hop/urban contemporary mode. The lead-off track, "Me & My Girls," is a case in point, as is the funky dance-pop tune "Make You Wanna Dance." While the Bratz project is clearly aimed at girls between 9 and 13 years of age, there is enough high quality bubblegum here to satisfy fans of all ages.

This album appears to be my favorite. I love 'Only You' All the songs on this CD show how you've gotta have strength and faith in yourself. Well some of the other songs are about having fun and possessing how good it is to be yourself

The movie HONEY stars Jessica Alba as an attractive, gritty, hard-working dancer determined to work her way to the top. With that plot, the advanced buzz surrounding the movie compared it to two movies of vastly differing fates, FLASHDANCE and GLITTER, both of which studied performers resolute in their path towards stardom. Both films also had high-profile soundtracks.
