Walls Of Jericho album by Helloween was released Apr 25, 2006 on the Sanctuary label. Helloween followed up their very popular self-titled mini-LP with 1986's even more accomplished Walls of Jericho, a disc that saw the quartet from Hamburg, Germany, outperforming expectations and quickly defining their sonic identity. The instrumental title track soon gives way to amazingly mature and complex compositions like "Ride the Sky," "Phantoms of Death," and the awesome "How Many Tears" (even more ambitious 13-minute epics would soon follow). And although these were heavily reliant on Iron Maiden for inspiration, it was Helloween's speed metal innovations that clearly helped make the songs so special and influential for future bands. Even the album's lyrically challenged, somewhat one-dimensional moments ("Warrior," "Metal Invaders") usually succeed, thanks to the group's uncontainable energy. On the downside, the album continued to expose Kai Hansen's limitations as a singer, but the band would soon remedy this disadvantage by bringing on teenage phenom Michael Kiske as lead vocalist. This is perhaps the best or at least one of the best albums through the history. All different musik styles inkluded!

GOOD METAL ALBUM
AWESOME instrumental, if y ou like maiden and other stuff like that the Walls of Jericho is missing to you. I was not sure at the beginning but after listening it i agree its a classic of metal like people told me.

A real powerful sound
in the helloween's discography exists 3 unforgetable albums. and this is one of them. you will really enjoy a masterpeice.

Pure speed and power!!!
Whoa, what an album!! This is great for any Helloween fan or any fan of metal in general. The first 4 tracks are from their debute mini EP and all 4 are top highlight blow your mind away tracks!! Walls of Jericho is much better produced although overall the production is the only thing keeping this from being 5 stars. After you get done hearing this album your ears will be ringing for more!!All speed, all extream riffing that will turn you into an automatic Helloween fan if you aren't one already. By the way...the bonus track Judas (only availible on 12" before) is a killer all on it's own! ;)
