| | MTV2 Headbangers Ball: The Revenge CD (6 Customer Reviews)
This is the 2006 volume of MTV2's HEADBANGER'S BALL series, the previous volumes of which have been certified gold. The folks at HEADBANGER'S BALL know a thing or two about metal, and THE REVENGE shows it. A near-definitive overview of the genre in the early 2000s, this two-disc set collects an array of contemporary heavy metal and alternative metal under one cover.
Experimental bands like the progressive, gothic-influenced Italian act Lacuna Coil are included, as are theatrical rap-metal acts like Slipknot, thrash metal acts like Bullet for My Valentine, and industry veterans like Iron Maiden. The stylistic range is impressive, and there is plenty of intensity and thunder on every track, making this a great bet for even the most casual metal fan.

This cd made Hell freeze over!!!!!!!!!! The second cd is better than the first by a long shot because it has better bands on it like As I lay Dying and Devildriver. The second cd is more fast paced than the first and gets you into the handbanging mood more than the first. The first cd is for softcore rockers who don't wanna mosh and get hurt!!!!!!!!!!! I'd give the first a 5 an the second a 3 The first is great with bands like hatebreed,in flames, trivium an bleedin through even with the lighter songs from HIM an avenged sevenfold. It has something from most my different tastes in metal. The second was good to with bullet for my valentine an it dies today really coming through it just didnt hit me as bad A as the first. 5 stars, for the 2nd cd. . . Ya, first cd has lamers korn and slipknot on it, then again I guess it does have some good bands like lamb of god, 2nd cd a bit more heavy. Dont kill yourself for this one though. Its not worth it. Submitted by elixar (elixarville) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Awesome This CD is effing brilliant. They took a lot of great metal songs from a lot of awesome bands, put them together, and created yet another wonderful album. In my opinion, the second disc is better than the first, but only by a little bit. Submitted by falsehope_422 (Funland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
