My Brother's Keeper songs
$13.69 Cormega's long-unreleased debut album, The Testament, finally got an official release in 2005 after nearly a decade of bootlegging. It's not quite the masterpiece it's been rumored to have been, but it's a great album nonetheless, especially for a debut -- a fascinating relic of the mid-'90s East Coast gangsta scene that spawned a number of classic debut albums, among them those of the Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, and Raekwon. The back-story goes like this: Cormega burst on the scene in 1996, when he guested on "Affirmative Action," a high-profile posse cut from Nas' sophomore album, It Was Written. He was fresh from prison, in a gangsta state of mind, and lyrically gifted. Def Jam brought him aboard quickly, and The Testament was the result, except it never saw the ...

My Brother's Keeper MP3 Album
$12.89 (MP3 Available for Download) Though Wu-Tang member Inspectah Deck has only released a few albums in his ten years as a solo artist (his debut, Uncontrolled Substance, came out in 1999, though it was said to have been finished as early as 1995), what he has put out -- not to mention his various excellent guest appearances and work on Wu-Tang Forever -- has been consistently good, a trend that follows on 2006's The Resident Patient, a mixtape that plays more like an official full-length. Though he only gets a little help from his Wu compatriots (Masta Killa is featured on the opener, "Sound of the Slums," and U-God has a verse on "Handle That," while the RZA produces the excellent "A Lil Story"), Rebel INS holds his own both in his beats (on "My Style" and "Get Ya Weight Up") and in his rhymes. He makes sure to pay tribute to hip-hop's stars, alluding ...

My Brother's Keeper music CDs
$8.59 Anything But Federal (ABF) was formed from the remains of two bands - Troy the Snail and Xpand, back in August 2006. Ben Ruegg and Michelle Anderton , who had been playing together since high school , were in search of a new drummer. Enter Paul Rishworth, a fresh, strong and solid drummer who brought with him his own distinct style and new energy. They clicked instantly, and after a few rocking jam sessions, ABF was born. The band’s debut, self-titled EP features four strong tunes. Butterfly Effect is a powerful song which highlights how the smallest issue in life can snowball into an unforeseen ...
