Compiling some of the bigger dancefloor songs from 2006 onto a two-disc set, Club Hits: Platinum Edition is a beat-driven fast-paced album where building intensity with eighth and 16th notes is secondary only to reverby, DJ-mixed vocals. Songs like "Dream" by Deep Dish featuring Stevie Nicks, "A Pain That I'm Used To" by Depeche Mode, and "Airbreak" by Danny D. (all in their various remixed forms) should be familiar to club-goers, though those less familiar with the scene might be entranced by the version of the Police's "Message in a Bottle" by Flitterfunk, Hi Tack's Michael Jackson-penned "Say Say Say," or Freeform Five's "No More Conversations" (whose Mylo remix here is poppier and more fun than the more commonly found Richard X remix). When K'Jon languorously croons "I'm finally gettin' around" on the title track of his 2009 debut slab I GET AROUND, he's putting it lightly.
