This performance was recorded on December 12th 2005 at the "New Morning" club in Paris, one of the most important European Jazz clubs. Forty years later, The Soft Machine Legacy musicians have not forsaken their dreams. Immune to the leveling pressures of show biz, Hugh Hopper, John Marshall, John Etheridge and Elton Dean - who died shortly after this last reunion at the New Morning - still mesmerized their fans. Four cameras captured the spectacular performance professionally on digital tape and sound engineers ensured perfect stereo sound in Dolby Digital 5.1. Bonus material includes "In conversation with Soft Machine Legacy". Soft Machine Legacy - New Morning: The Paris Concert Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Freakin' Awesome!!! I have been a Soft Machine fan for many years...Whether you know this band or not, I promise you will enjoy some fine musicianship that continues to be cutting-edge despite the band's long history. The recording is excellent , revealing the genius exhibited by all of these great musicians. There is John Marshall's crisp drum phrasing, Hugh Hopper's brilliantly understated trance-inducing bass, John Etheridge's dazzlingly fluid guitar licks and the incomparable grace of the great Elton Dean's saxello solos and ethereal Rhodes piano harmonies...This performance is not only superb, but historically important as well! $14.59 A live performance from October 20, 1994, PULSE records the great psychedelic band Pink Floyd rocking out like only they can. Renowned for their hallucinatory special effects and lighting schemes, Pink Floyd goes all out at this spectacular (and very long) concert. Twenty-one of their classics are performed, including classic rock radio staples "Dark Side of The Moon" and "Wish You were Here."
Recorded in the fall of 1994, this DVD shows the band - David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright - in their highest form. The concert features songs from Wish You Were Here, The Wall, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Dark Side Of the Moon performed in its entirety. Also included are screen films that were projected during the concert, documentary, photo gallery, and even some bootlegs.

Soft Machine Legacy - New Morning: The Paris Concert DVD
$9.69 The youngest guitarist to make it onto ROLLING STONE's 100 greatest guitarists of all time list, Derek Trucks has been demonstrating his musical acumen since the age of nine, when he picked up his first instrument. Now one of the best slide guitarists on the scene, he has put together a band characterized by a broad range of talent and a proclivity for improvisation. This release marks the group's first album in four years, and demonstrates the growth they've experienced while incorporating an eclectic mix of sounds, ranging from rock and jazz to Latin and world music.

$11.49 Prog-rockers Yes return to the stage in this 2003 performance at the Montreux Festival. Though decades may have passed since the group's heyday in the 1970s, Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, Chris Squire, and Alan White have lost none of their edge. Laying into deep cuts like "Siberian Khatru," "Long Distance Runaround," and "I've Seen All Good People," this group of grizzled legends delivers a smoldering rock performance.

Compay Segundo gained an international fan base with Ry Cooder's 1999 project THE BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB, but he has been making music and delighting fans in his homeland of Cuba since his early years as a bandleader in the 1920s and 30s. He spent over a decade playing in the successful duo Los Compadres with Lorenzo Hierrezuelo, where he acquired his nickname; Compay is slang for "compadre" and "segundo" is a reference to his second voice bass harmony. A seminal and influential musician, he is credited for the invention of the seven-stringed armonico, and his century-spanning lifetime was rife with performances alongside some of the most acclaimed voices in Cuban music, including Sindo Garay, Miguel Matamaros, and Beny More, among countless others. He is also a delightful frontman, as witnessed in Cooder's documentary and in the live performances collected here; the set list includes: La Negra Tomasa," Huellas del Pasado," "Sarandonga," "Las Flores de la Vida," and "Beso Discreto."
