Both Lp's from 1979 feature Lou's outstanding vocals & Top Notch production! With production from Gamble & Huff, Dexter Wansel & Thom Bell.
'LET ME BE GOOD TO YOU' the title track was the hit single and Lou brings a soulful touch to 'Tomorrow' from Annie, 'Bark, Bite' & 'Sweet Tender Nights' both have great Thom Bell grooves.
'SIT DOWN AND TALK TO ME' starts off with the grooving 'One Day Soon You'll Need Me', and the fantastic touching 'Heartaches' I love this song! this Thom Bell production should've been a hit!! Lou's vocals are on point!, 'Ain't That Loving You', 'You're My Blessing', 'Old Times', & 'You Are' are beautiful songs, the mid-tempo groove hit 'Sit Down & Talk To Me', and the bluesy 'When You Get Home' is a good song but is somewhat out of place with the production of the rest of this lp, this song would've fit better on one Lou's later blues cd, I am so glad these two lp's have have reissued on cd for the fans to enjoy again!

Forum's only album -- 1967's The River Is Wide -- is notable for its connection to exotica guru Les Baxter, who produced, arranged, and composed four tracks. Baxter also contributed liner sleeve notes for this highly collectible LP, which describes how he witnessed a folk performance on-stage in a Pasadena, CA, club by the leader of the trio, Phil Campos. Campos soon became a student of Baxter's and also became one of Les Baxter's Balladeers, appearing on that folk group's self-titled Reprise album in 1961. He also appeared, as a solo folky, on a number of "Hootenanny" albums, including The Big Hootenanny: Live Recordings at the Troubadour, the Ice House and the Ash Grove (In Records, 1963), Hootenanny at the Troubador (Horizon, 1963), and Let's Have a Hootenanny, (Crown, 1963).
