Businessman Gable relies on secretary Jean Harlow - too much according to wife Myrna Loy. James Stewart adds to the star-bright comedy/drama. A love triangle at its best. A devoted husband whose business dealings put him in constant contact with his voluptuous secretary sets off his wife in a state of doubt, virtually pushing him right into his secretary's arms. The familiar theme of secretary-wife rivalry gets a new twist in this popular, star-studded MGM romantic comedy directed by the extraordinary Clarence Brown. Clark Gable stars as Van Stanhope, a hardworking magazine publisher who is happily married to Linda (Myrna Loy). Jean Harlow stars as Helen "Whitey" Wilson, Van's secretary and right-hand gal who, despite her love for her employer, respects the sanctity of his happy marriage. Linda cannot stop her misguided suspicions that Whitey is more than a secretary for her husband, fueled by her meddling mother's (May Robson) constant suggestions. When Van goes on an important business trip to Havana and takes Whitey instead of Linda, Linda is infuriated, leading to a series of complications and misunderstandings that leaves Linda believing that she has been right all along. Ultimately, it is up to Whitey to convince Linda that she is in danger of losing an incredibly faithful husband in this love triangle with a twist. Jimmy Stewart costars as Whitey's boyfriend, who is eager to marry the loyal secretary. WIFE VS. SECRETARY is a witty and entertaining romp featuring some of Hollywood's brightest stars. Wife vs. Secretary DVD Wife Vs. Secretary
Of course Linda Stanhope trusts her husband Van. Their marriage is based on love and respect. Who cares if Van's secretary has the face of an angel and the body of a chorus girl? Who says a blonde bombshell can't type and take dictation? But people are whispering. And when Linda calls Van's hotel room late at night during his solo business trip to Havana, guess who answers.
Four Golden Era greats ? Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Myrna Loy as the romantic triangle and a lanky newcomer named James Stewart as Harlow's beau ? gild this sophisticated comedy-drama that takes a savvy look at men, women and love. Wife vs. Secretary: Guess who wins!

$11.29 Perhaps the most memorable film about the aftermath of World War II, THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES unfolds with the homecoming of three veterans to the same small town. The leads all touch emotional truths: Myrna Loy seems able to express longing, joy, fear and surprise--mostly with her back turned--in a particularly poignant welcome home. The movie never glosses over the reality of altered lives and the inability to communicate the experience of ...

$13.55 Stephan Elliott (EYE OF THE BEHOLDER) wrote and directed this tale of two drag queens and a transsexual that embark on a road trip to a remote resort town in the Australian desert on a bus christened Priscilla. When Anthony "Tick"/Mitzi (Hugo Weaving) is invited to perform in Alice Springs, he recruits flamboyant young stud Adam/Felicia (Guy Pearce) and the legendary, refined Bernadette (Terence Stamp) to join him. Mitzi, however, fails to disclose one important fact to his friends: his wife is the one who invited them to Alice Springs. With one big secret about to be revealed and another one up his sleeve, Mitzi is a little stressed.
With long hours on the road ahead of them, the trio lip-synchs campy songs on the bus, creates fabulous costumes, and meets a multitude of colorful characters along the way. They party with friendly aborigines, are confronted by judgmental townspeople who are averse to drag queens, and meet Bob (Bill Hunter), a warmhearted mechanic and drag fan who joins them for the last leg of their trip when their bus breaks ...
