I thought this was a great flick. Being in the middle east, I can relate to alot that I see in the movie.

| Profound and challenging
This is the best film of the year, if not the entire decade. Based on Robert Baer's book, See No Evil, it shocks the viewer into questioning the oil- and market-driven foreign policy of the US.

Syriana is a group of subplots with the movie jumping rather abruptly from one to the next, rather than all being smoothly woven into a coherent package.

| Too complicated
Syriana is like a combination of Crash and Munich. The reason I say that is because there are so many characters in the movie that you seem to get lost while trying to keep up with them.
