PHATSO is the solo debut from Jamie Madrox, the rapper best known as one half of the rap-rock outfit Twiztid. Like Twiztid, Madrox favors bone-crushing beats; infectious, ominous, sing-song choruses; and full-throated, aggressive raps. PHATSO lives up to the standard expected by fans of Psychopathic Records (run by the Insane Clown Posse), and features Madrox in full effect. In fact, PHATSO seems more like a careful culmination of all of Madrox's efforts up to this point, rather than anything resembling a rehash of prior glories. Jamie Madrox Phatso Songs Phatso Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Jamie Madrox 100% put it downs Great beats, jamie spits straight up fire on this album.even if your just a fan of rap I STRONGLY suggest this one.He has come along way and progressed.NOT REHASHING THINGS AT ALL in my opinion. No one can deny he sounds better on this album than in the early days of his career. greatness After hearing this album id have to say madrox is one of my fave solo artists from psychopathic records and when i heard he was doing a solo i expected it to be a risk for him that could either improve or slightly ruin his career but this album truly is great and it shows madrox can shine just as well on his own and he can when together with monoxide as twiztid Submitted by lukecollinson2007 (united kingdom) Was This Review Helpful? Great CD To be honest, I thought this cd might be a little weak with Madrox doing it solo, but his talent really shines. I can't think of a bad song on the whole album, something I can't say about Chainsmoker. Submitted by John (Portsmouth, VA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
So PHAT It'll Blow Up Your CD Player! Phatso, blows EVERYTHING away. This has to be one of the best records Psychopathic has dropped. It just might be one of the best albums to drop this year. The lyrics are tight and tangible and the beats are off the chain. Underground and overground, Madrox rips it up, he'll blow away any wack mc these days with his Big Gunz! $9.85 Personnel: R.O.C. (vocals); Blaze Ya Dead Homie (vocals); Fritz Vankosky, Razor Ray. Additional personnel: (hed) p.e., DJ Clay, The R.O.C., Bizzar, Big Krizz Kalico, DJ Quik, Insane Clown Posse, Potluck, Proof, Tech N9ne, Tha Dogg Pound, Dayton Family. Audio Mixer: Fritz Vankosky. Recording information: The Lotus Pod Recording Studio. Photographer: Jim Neve. Unknown Contributor Role: DJ Clay. One of the most popular acts on the Insane Clown Posse's Psychopathic Records, Twiztid mine a similar vein by combining horrorcore with rap. They present a fierce image offset slightly by dark humor. The title of their hit 2007 release, INDEPENDENT'S DAY, refers to the plethora of guest rappers who take a turn on almost every one of the album's 14 tracks. Twiztid are back once again with the extremely ill behavior, and Independent's Day is the horrorcore ...

$11.39 Exhumed: Matt Harvey, Col Jones, Mike Beans, Bud Burke. Personnel: Sakara Birdong (vocals). Photographers: Alex Solca; Orion Landau. Unknown Contributor Roles: Neil Kernon; Scott Hull. Drummer Col Jones, one of the band's original members, left Exhumed soon after the release of Anatomy Is Destiny, though his swansong is liable to make many in the death metal community wonder why he left since the band's third disc is easily the band's best. The post-Carcass gore-core is ...

(guitar); Butch Walker (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, keyboards, bass guitar, percussion, programming, background vocals); Sam Fisher, Mark Robertson , Samuel Formicola (violin); Shanti Randall (viola); Victor Lawrence (cello); Static, Jon O'Brien (keyboards, programming); Kenny Aronoff (drums, percussion); Bill Lafler, Kenny Cresswell (drums); Brian E. Garcia (percussion); Jason Lader (programming); Dan Chass (drum programming); Michael Ward (guitar); Evan Taubenfeld (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums, background vocals); Patrick Warren (strings, chamberlin, keyboards); Chantal Kreviazuk (piano, keyboards); Josh Freese, Brooks Wackerman (drums). Audio Mixers: Randy Staub ; Tom Lord-Alge. Editors: Dan Certa; Dan Certina. Photographer: James Minchin. Part of Avril Lavigne's appeal -- a large part of it, actually -- is that she's a brat, acting younger than her 17 years on her 2002 debut, Let Go, and never seeming like she much cared about the past (she notoriously mispronounced David Bowie's name when reading Grammy nominations), or anything for that matter. She lived for the moment, she partied with sk8er bois, she didn't want anything complicated, and she sang in a flat, plain voice that illustrated her age as much as her silly, shallow lyrics. Those words got disproportionate attention because they were so silly and shallow, but most listeners just didn't care because, thanks to producer gurus the Matrix, they were delivered in a shiny package filled with incessant, nagging hooks -- a sound so catchy it came to define the mainstream not long after Let Go hit the radio. The Matrix became ubiquitous on the strength of their work with Lavigne, who herself became a big star, earning constant play on radio and MTV, kick starting a fashion trend of ties-n-tank tops for girls and inexplicably providing a touchstone for indie rock queen Liz Phair's mainstream makeover. Fame, however, didn't pull the two camps together; it pushed them their separate ways, as the Matrix went on to record their own album and Avril decided to turn serious, working with a variety of co-writers and producers, including fellow Canadian singer/songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk, for her second album, 2004's Under My Skin. Lavigne hasn't only shed her trademark ties for thrift-shop skirts, she's essentially ditched the sound of Let Go too, bringing herself closer to the mature aspirations of fellow young ...
| | Pretty Boy Floyd Size Really Does Matter CD (2004)
Phatso
$12.39 Pretty Boy Floyd: Dish, Steve Summers, Lesli Sanders, Tchad. Audio Mixer: Brian Haught. Recording information: Synical Teknologies, North Hollywood, CA. Photographer: Ian Dowdell. "Suicide" on Pretty Boy Floyd's Size Really Does Matter CD harkens back to the days of hard rock that could break through on pop radio. It's got the Guns N' Roses-meets-Alice Cooper snarl and enough dynamics to make it jump off of the disc as the standout. That's perhaps the most in-the-pocket tune on the album, though "Earth Girls" comes close with its science fiction overtones and cool hook. The ten songs are written by Steve Summers, Lesli Sanders, T'Chad, and Dish, the four members of Pretty Boy Floyd, and they have lots to offer on Size Really Does Matter. "Fuck the Rock" turns the group Reunion's 1974 hit "Life Is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)" on its head -- "sell your soul to ...
| | Doomriders Black Thunder CD (2005)
Phatso
$9.79 Though their Halloween cartoon imagery might evince instant thoughts of gothic punks the Misfits, that is but one small dimension of the Doomriders package, the bulk qualifying simply as stoner rock -- albeit stoner rock infused with lacerated metalcore vocals, heavily distorted guitars, and, yes, a little good-humored punk rock belligerence ...
