Time of the Oath album by Helloween was released May 16, 2006 on the Sanctuary label. Despite the difficulties that had plagued them in recent years (including inconsistent albums, constant lineup changes, and even the suicide of founding drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg), German power metal kings Helloween had been gradually finding their way back to the glory of their early days with each succeeding release. And with their seventh album, 1996's The Time of the Oath, they pretty much arrived, delivering their best collection of songs in almost a decade and never straying from their patented Euro-metal formula. Time of the Oath CD music Come on, Helloween pretty much invented this stuff, and the hundreds of disciples they inspired into existence simply couldn't be wrong -- this was still an important band. Time for Helloween
This is a great album, with all songs being top notch. I think alot of thought and effort was put into this album by Helloween. What really struck me about this album is how strong the band plays together.

Wow, how could I miss it
Helloween fan for a long time but didnt listen to this one until recently. Probably the best album Helloween have made so far. Everything is perfect an not one bad song. Love the drums.

Very good album! (4.5 stars)
The Time of the Oath is one of Helloween's better albums. The selection of songs is very strong and the music on the album is definitely in the typical Helloween vein. What makes this release even more special is the inclusion of a second CD containing all the b-sides and bonus tracks from this recording session. All six "extra" songs are worth the money and I especially like the last two, written by singer Andi Deris.
