This original show on the Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" is based on Aaron McGruder's controversial comic strip. The complete first season is presented, uncut and uncensored. Based on the syndicated comic strip of Aaron MacGruder, one of only a few African American cartoonists and arguably the most successful, this animated show appeared on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. MacGruder satirizes race relations and contemporary culture in a dry, cynical way that pulls no punches, and generates a great deal of controversy along the way. The show follows protagonist Huey, a 10-year-old revolutionary-in-training, and Riley, his 8-year-old brother and future gangsta. The boys have been moved from their home on Chicago's South Side to the suburban "boondocks" to live with their grandfather, where they get into trouble and comment freely upon the idiosyncracies--to put it mildly--of the white people in whose culture they are now immersed. In season one, Huey and Riley debate R. Kelly, Huey directs "The Adventures of Black Jesus" for the school Christmas play, and Grandad opens up Woodcrest's first soul-food restaurant. Boondocks - Complete First Season Video Boondocks - Complete First Season Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews No Doubt About It The Boondocks is without a doubt the funniest animated show hands down. It makes the Simpsons look like a true kiddie cartoon especially these days. Anyway, if you truly enjoy racy humor this DVD set is especially for you. Truthfully Funny!! If you are at all familar with the comic strip, then you will love the series. It's the best, most hillarious animated t.v. show since The Simpsons. Submitted by bigchops8966 (Poughkeepsie, NY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
I don't know where to start... This show is simply amazing... The animation is sick. The stories are both thought provoking and funny as hell.. And I wish that I could give it more than five stars.. Submitted by palanador (peoria,il) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Boondocks - Complete First Season film
$9.15 Attitude, the second album from the California quintet Troop, featured four charting singles. The first release, "I'm Not Soupped," is the least credible of the four. With the title's rather doltish connotation, the dance number still managed to peak at number 19 after only 12 weeks on the Billboard R&B charts. The second single, "Spread My Wings," elevated Troop's national image. The song's vivacious rhythm and exhilarating hook and pre-chorus carried it to the number one spot for two weeks. The third single, "All I Do Is Think of You," a Jackson 5 remake, ...

Boondocks - Complete First Season review
$5.95 JOINED AT THE HIP was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Performance.
JOINED AT THE HIP features Bob James and saxophonist Kirk Whalum as a team. After several appearance on one another's solo efforts, James and Whalum realized that they had similar playing styles, and as James said, "were eager to explore that compatibility in a pressure-free environment, [while] keeping everything loose and fun." Given that attitude, the album manages to break away from some of the stylistic parameters typically found on contemporary jazz albums.
Whalum stretches out and lets the opening track, "Soweto," ...

| | Sergio Salvatore Point Of Presence CD (1997)
Boondocks - Complete First Season movie DVD
$12.59 Sergio Salvatore has the odd fortune of resembling child actor Fred Savage from TV's "The Wonder Years, " and that could have plagued the public's openmindedness towards taking him seriously as a major jazz talent, rather than just a cute novelty. Fortunately, deep talent has won out and the prodigy, now a teenager, has bloomed into a multi-faceted composer/performer. A true product of the 90's, he not only named his shift towards contemporary pop/funk oriented jazz after an internet term (Point of Presence being the point from which one leaps onto the world wide web), but he's sharp enough to figure out that he's bound to gain a larger audience by stretching beyond his straight ahead beginnings. Guitarist Chuck Loeb is the perfect producer to bring out Salvatore's more pop-rock oriented leanings, which find Salvatore's lovely piano more along the lines of David Benoit than Chick Corea. Though jams like "Out of Nowhere" hold up the best in terms of artistic challenge, "So You Said," ...

$7.19 STUCK ON YOU: A couple of conjoined twins (Greg Kinnear and Matt Damon) are the focus of this hilarious romp, a premise which provides for a relentless string of clever, absurd, and always-fresh jokes. Bob (Damon) and Walt (Kinnear) are living happy lives, perfectly content to be joined by a patch of skin that extends from armpit to hip and allows them to share a liver. Though they must do everything in tandem, they are best friends and treat each other as individuals with separate lives. Living on Martha's Vineyard, Bob (Damon) owns a popular local diner where he and Walt work as incredibly fast-moving short-order cooks with all four hands in perfect sync flipping burgers and slicing vegetables--this is one of the best gags in the film. However, as the brothers are shown playing hockey, fighting kung-fu style, cruising for babes in a bar, and taking on basically any other feat imaginable, the laughs only get better. Trouble comes when suave, confident Walt decides to pursue a Hollywood acting career, and Bob's stage fright, panic attacks, and shyness present a personality clash. Nonetheless, they get to meet Meryl Streep, they land a starring role in a television show with Cher, and they find some nice girlfriends. The Farellys keep their signature ...
