Excellent chill out Both DJs have a perfect line up in this album, loved Migs´s mixing and Jay´s introduction´s. Outstanding for a lounge beginning at a club party.

A must buy Soul and deep base house at it's finest with added funk for flavour. The better being miguel's mix of deep base funk. I love tracks 3-6 & 9-13 on the second Cd. It also includes 2 of my fav tracks 'Sweet Sonora' by david penn aka Nuboy or Sebastien Gamboa has an intoxicating deep base sound & Grant Nelson's 'Ethnicity.' which is very tribal. Jay-j's mix is very soulful and funky but I don't like some tracks like 6 & 8 which incorporate too much vocals however tracks 1 'Diamond Life' and track 11 'The Light' by michelle weeks showcases some real funky soul. Very good. Get the cd. Submitted by silver64_ (North York, ON) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo This review is for a different format.

Ah Yeah You know the nights when you get home from the party to start the post party and you want something smooth yet upbeat enough to keep the energy level up? This is that. I usually fast forward a couple of songs on each cd but overall I love it and would recommend it to anyone who likes the same type of music as me. His first two recordings, the fine Timepeace and the less-than-satisfying LifeTime, both had songs worthy of anything Callier ever wrote during the 1960s or 1970s. The live album, Alive on Mr. Bongo from 2001, is a testament to that. But finding a producer who could properly illustrate the vast subtleties in ...
$40.75 Finnish band Amorphis are a gloom-laden metal band whose appeal has expanded beyond the cluttered Scandinavian hard rock scene. FAR FROM THE SUN is an 11-song demonstration of their talents.
Listeners who found Am Universum too indulgent and jazzy will be happy to find that Far From the Sun is a streamlined rocker in comparison. At their best, Amorphis have carved great, twisting metallic riffs from the building blocks of Finnish folk melodies, and that continues here with standouts like "Planetary Misfortune," "Far From the Sun," and "Higher Ground." Yet as Amorphis drift further from their frenzied ...
