Confessions On A Dance Floor CD (2005)
I'm Going to Tell You a Secret album for sale 1998's RAY OF LIGHT marked Madonna's move toward electronica, and a larger journey back to her dance-club roots. That journey was completed with 2005's CONFESSIONS ON A DANCEFLOOR. A collection of hardcore club tracks with few mainstream pop concessions, CONFESSIONS is packed wall-to-wall with driving, electronica-driven grooves.
Madonna has always been one of the reigning queens of postmodern alchemy, and this record is a perfect example of her magic. A primary layer of sleek, old-school disco is combined with pile-driving house and techno, not to mention more than a few contemporary production flourishes. Either directly or indirectly, CONFESSIONS references '70s and early-'80s dance music, including Madonna's own, but while the album seems retro in several areas, it also has a distinct futuristic sheen. Nothing here has the hook-heavy single status of "Material Girl" or "Like A Prayer," but the pulsing intensity of the tracks is sheer sonic pleasure, making Madonna's return to straight-up dance music a welcome homecoming.
On Confessions of a Dance Floor, Madonna, the most popular and significant female artist in pop music, returns unapologetically to her roots. A stunning blend of musical styles with one foot in early disco and the other pointed toward the future, Confessions On A Dance Floor "is all about having a good time straight through and non-stop," says the Material Mom, who co-wrote and co-produced every track. For Madonna and music fans everywhere, the all-dance, no-ballad Confessions on a Dance Floor is a welcome guilty pleasure. Features the hit single 'Hung Up'. Warner. 2005.

Personnel: Yitzhak Sinwani (vocals); Monte Pittman (acoustic guitar); Stewart Price (programming, drum programming); Mirwais Ahmadzaï (programming).

Hard Candy CD (2008) Top Seller
I'm Going to Tell You a Secret songs HARD CANDY continues in the driving, club-oriented vein of 2005's CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR, proving that Madonna has lost none of her energy and verve with age. In terms of material, in fact, HARD CANDY bests its predecessor, and the artist continues to make herself relevant in the 2000s by adding distinctly hip-hop grooves to her increasingly electronica-driven sound. Remarkably, the result never sounds like a blatant commercial appeal. As with nearly everything she's done, this groove-heavy disc is distinctly Madonna's own.
The Material Girl sculpted her sound this time out by hiring some of the hottest producers on the scene, including Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell and the Neptunes. Cuts like the lead-off single, "4 minutes" (a duet with Timberlake), and the thumping, sexy title track sparkle with a contemporary club feel, begging listeners to turn it up and shake it. Yet Madonna's classic pop sensibilities are far from lost in the mix. "Beat Goes On" recalls vintage singles like "Holiday"; "Heartbeat" is sleek, singalong Europop; and "Miles Away" is a love song that rides a sweet midtempo groove. Fun, danceable, and infectious, HARD CANDY is another winner from one of pop's all-time icons.

Confessions Tour CD (2007)
I'm Going to Tell You a Secret CD music A live CD and documentary DVD that announced the launch of Madonna's CONFESSIONS tour, the aptly named THE CONFESSIONS TOUR, released in January 2007, presents the dazzling spectacle that tour entailed. Recorded live at London's Wembley Stadium, CONFESSIONS spins through a good deal of Madge's 2005 disco opus, CONFESSIONS OF A DANCE FLOOR, and finds the singer in excellent voice.
"Dancefloor" is the operative word for each of the album's 13 tracks, as even the tunes predating CONFESSIONS are treated with that album's thumping, glitzy vibe. Even old-school Madonna classics like "Lucky Star" and "Like a Virgin" fit into the pulsing, strobe-lit aesthetic, making the set a unified statement. The accompanying DVD raises the stakes further by revealing Madonna as a consummate entertainer whose stage show has been refined to perfection over the years. A must for Madonna fans, and a startling reminder of Madonna's vitality (after 25 years in the business), THE CONFESSIONS TOUR is a first-rate live document.
The first-ever broadcast network performance by superstar Madonna, which aired the night before Thanksgiving last year, is now available in a CD+DVD package that adds bonus behind-the-scenes footage. The Confessions Tour, filmed at Londons Wembley Arena during her worldwide sold-out 25-city Confessions Tour, features songs from throughout the dance divas career but largely focuses on her latest studio album, Confessions On A Dance Floor, which debuted #1 in the U.S. and is approaching 8 million copies sold around the world. The DVD features the complete 2-hour concert, including the uncensored version of Live To Tell plus four songs that didnt air on television.
