| Bond..........James Bond This is a very good spoof comedy of the action hero James Bond. Released in 1967, it is a little far out. The good news is that Ursala Andrews is in this film....AND a very young Jacqueline Bisset as "Miss Goodthighs." If you are a fan of "Austin Powers, international Man of Mystery," you will see numerous similarities taken from "Casino Royale." Burt Bachrach wrote the music, and its really terrific. Watch this movie for what it is, nostalgic humor, and enjoy it. By Jalgood310 (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) This review is for a different format. |
| Taking the mickey out of Bond, James Bond A rather wild spoof of the James Bond 007 persona and movie style, it came out in 1967, the same year as the fifth of the Connery Bond films, 'You Only Live Twice'. For fans of the Bond series, and if you enjoy a good spoof, especially with the talents of David Niven, Peter Sellers, Woody Allen and Ursula Andress to spin out the tale, well worth seeing again. | One Of Funniest Movies Ever The Humor throughout the whole movie bulids, and builds and then is released in one of the most Hilarious climaxs ever! It's a giant rabble of Gamblers, Spies, Indians, Horses, Military, Bubbles and Laughing Gas! Recomended to anyone who enjoyed Austin Powers, Bond Films or just plain hillarious movies By Steve (Buffalo, NY) This review is for a different format. |
| Very English Humour. What are these other reviewers complaining about? It's not meant to be a REAL Bond Film! It is meant to be stupid! It is meant to be strange and confusing! It is meant to make fun of James Bond movies! Fans of Goons-type humour will enjoy this film. Peter Seller's line about the shampoo is great! The auction scene is also one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. Yes, the film is very sixties and confusing, but it is better than the horrible rubbish that is coming out these days! | very, dated I saw the movie when I was a child in TV and liked it then (25 years ago). Woody Allen ist the funniest thing in this movie, I guess you have to be a child to like this movie. I bought the American DVD because the UK DVD has mono sound. The sound sounded still very dated, the picture is fine. I wouln't buy it again.
