| | U2 No Line On The Horizon CD (2009)
Water Mother songs
$10.49 There's no shortage of legendary producers in line to work with music world titans U2; when work with Rick Rubin broke off, Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois stepped in. The resulting NO LINE ON THE HORIZON, 2009's offering from the Irish rockers, continues in the grand U2 tradition, as soaring pop anthems like opening single "Get on Your Boots" pair with experimental melanges like "Tripoli," on a striking album featuring touches of all the albums come before, yet hinting at new worlds for Bono to conquer.
After spending the 1990s experimenting with electronic music and returning to arena-ready rock during the first few years of the 21st century, U2 stakes out territory somewhere between those two points on 2009's NO LINE ON THE HORIZON. Enlisting its go-to production trio of Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, and Steve Lillywhite, the Irish quartet seems intent on crafting a quirkier companion piece to HOW TO ...

Water Mother CD music
$6.09 This 1998 reissue contains 5 bonus tracks (including the previously
unreleased "White Christmas") not included on the original release.
John Denver's music always had a warm, home-spun quality to it, so it isn't surprising that his 1975 holiday effort, Rocky Mountain Christmas, is a wonderfully low-key and friendly Christmas album. Divided between classic carols and new numbers, such as the fine "Aspenglow" and "Christmas for Cowboys," the album is an appealing, pretty ...

Water Mother music CDs
$14.29 In India, a form of music lives on that for centuries has been born anew every day, retaining its original, strictly regulated form, yet preserving its' deeply rooted spiritual basis. Over generations, great musical sages have strived to create a musical system notoriously labour-intensive, requiring years of practice, yet flexible enough to offer immense scope for improvisation. Since the thirteenth century, when the Moghul emperors brought their sitars and drums from Persia, India has demonstrated a remarkable capacity to successfully absorb external influences, without sacrificing its inner musical spirit.A music culture as rich as India's, looks to its younger generation to inject fresh ideas, carrying forward its legacy of tradition. In recent years, India has unearthed a remarkable talent who is already receiving plaudits for his contribution to the field of modern sitar playing. Purbayan Chatterjee was born into a family immersed in India's classical music traditions. By the time he was four, he had already begun his musical training. His guide and inspiration has been his father, Partha Chatterjee, a disciple of sitar maestro Nikhil Bannerjee. For the last few years Purbayan has taken guidance from the legendary Sarod player Ali Akbar Khan, and at a relatively young age has already established himself as one of the leading lights of the Senia Maihar Gharana, a style of Sitar playing fashioned by Baba Allauddin Khan. For this recording Purbayan is joined by Satyajit Talwalkar, the son of Pandit Suresh Talwalkar and Smt. Padma Talwalkar, two of the best-known practitioners of Indian classical music. Still in his early twenties, he has already established himself as a highly accomplished tabla player. Right from a very young age, Satyajit received immaculate attention and training from his parents in various aspects of Indian classical music. But his interest in percussion was nurtured by his father, ...
