Just Around The Corner Movie Review This one is non stop fun!! Shirley is lots of fun in this. This is one of her movies that really moves and theres just always something fun going on! This has always been a favorite of mine and is one that you cannot get tired of seeing.
Shirley is so pretty in this and, she was 10 at the time she made this movie.
The colorizing for this one looks really fantastic, kinda looks like true technicolor.
I love the scenes Shirley has with "Uncle Sam", played by Claude Gillingwater. He was also with Shirley 2 years before making this one in "Poor Little Rich Girl" and,he just cracks me up the way he always is complaining!
Anyways, this movie is one that is very enjoyable and is one that you can see often and never get tired of it! Submitted by a reviewer (Coventry, RI) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
shirley does it again. shop around the corner is another typical movie from the great shirley temple. by typical we know everything will work out in the end. this is why we love shirley temple films, they take us to a world of fantasy and dreaminess. Few actors have reached the height of little Shirley, she is sweet strong, tough and gentle all rolled into one girl. They sure dont make them like that anymore. This is a great movie. yours truly LINDA Rosenthal. Submitted by a reviewer (montreal, quebec, canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

$22.49 Michael J. Fox catapulted into superstardom--and created one of the most beloved television characters of all time--in the 1980s sitcom FAMILY TIES. Created by TV impresario Gary David Goldberg (LOU GRANT, THE BOB NEWHART SHOW), the series offered a clever take on the generation gap through the family interactions of two former '60s hippies, public-television producer ...

Just Around The Corner film
$23.39 THE PROPOSAL could have been a strictly script-by-numbers affair, but hilarious performances by Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds improve this romantic comedy. Publishing powerhouse Margaret Tate (Bullock, TWO WEEKS NOTICE) is used to getting her way. She bullies her ambitious assistant, Andrew Paxton (Reynolds, DEFINITELY, MAYBE), earning the ire of all the underlings at Colden Books in New York City. But Margaret, a native Canadian, finds her career in jeopardy when she is denied a visa and learns she will be sent northward. She forces Andrew to become her fiancé, but she’ll have to take a trip home to Alaska with him to prove to U.S. Immigration that their impending union is genuine.
What ensues is a combination of GREEN CARD, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, and GREEN ACRES, with the hell-in-heels boss trying to fake a romance with her assistant as she struggles to survive as a city girl in the country. However, THE PROPOSAL proves to be more than the sum of its parts; Bullock has been one of Julia Roberts’s successors to the America’s-sweetheart crown since she starred in SPEED, but this comedy has her challenging her image with hilarious ease. Reynolds--who could be just window-dressing with his good looks and ...

Just Around The Corner review
$6.55 Bill (Jeremy Theobald) is in trouble. He's a writer who, when bored with pounding the keys on his Remington, goes into the streets to follow people. He becomes so obsessed with following them that he has set up rules--like not following them when he discovers where they live or work. Then, one day, he breaks those rules. And, as he explains to the policeman he is telling all this to, "that was when the trouble started." Bill gets closer and closer to those he is following. He follows one man into a restaurant, and is startled when the man, Cobb (Alex Haw), confronts him. Cobb, too, is interested in people--but he doesn't follow them, his interested is peaked by robbing them. Bill joins Cobb in breaking into an apartment. So begins FOLLOWING, Christopher Nolan's fiendishly clever first film. Nolan was director, screenwriter, co-producer, director of photography, and co-editor, and only able to ...

$9.85 Director Robert Zemeckis revolutionized the art of animated film in 1998's WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT by dropping cartoon characters into the same frame with flesh-and-blood actors. In THE POLAR EXPRESS, live action and animation have merged seamlessly, resulting in sparkling super-realism. A landmark technique Zemeckis and his Sony Pictures Imageworks team call "Performance Capture" perfectly suits the tenor of this wondrous children's Christmas story by Chris Van Allsburg. A disillusioned little boy, just old enough to doubt the existence of Santa Claus, has the adventure of a lifetime one fateful Christmas Eve. Clad in his pajamas, he climbs aboard a magic train to the North Pole, driven by a kindly train conductor (voiced by Tom Hanks who starred in both of Zemeckis's Academy-Award winning films FORREST GUMP and CASTAWAY). Among myriad jaw-dropping moments, the train plummets brakeless through ...
