| | Tim O'Reagan CD Tim O'Reagan Discography of CDs
On his 2006 Lost Highway solo debut, ex-Jayhawks drummer/vocalist Tim O'Reagan offers up a charming set of pop tunes that bear the influence of 1970s folk even more than the alt-country sound of his former group. Steeped in a gentle, pensive vibe, the album showcases the Minnesota-based performer's multi-instrumental talents, keen sense of songcraft, and pleasantly raspy voice, as revealed on the breezy, harmony-dappled opener, "These Things," and the beautifully melancholy "Highway Flowers," which features fellow Jayhawks veterans Karen Grotberg, Marc Perlman, and Gary Louris.
Personnel: Tim O'Reagan (vocals, guitar, harmonica, drums); Gary Louris, Jim Boquist (vocals, electric guitar); Karen Grotberg (vocals, piano); John Woodland (guitar, bells); Joe Savage (steel guitar); Erik Brandt (accordion); Pete Sands (piano, chamberlin).
Recording information: Pachyderm Studio, Cannon Falls, MN (2004-2005); Studio Futztuch (2004-2005); The Jayhawks Rehearsal Space (2004-2005).
Entertainment Weekly (p.161) - "With hazy hooks that land somewhere between RUBBER SOUL and NEW MORNING, along with dashes of Jimmy Webb and Nilsson..." -- Grade: B Mojo (Publisher) (p.106) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "The memorable melodies and yearning vocals are both uplifting and bittersweet." $11.49 Even when Guy Clark was young, he sounded like an old man with a weathered voice, suggesting a life fraught with experience. It is fitting, then, that 30 years into his career he sounds as spry as he does on WORKBENCH SONGS--his 12th full-length--as time has found Clark just hitting his stride. | | Billy Joe Shaver Everybody's Brother CD (2007)
Tim O'Reagan album
$13.95 A Billy Joe Shaver album is always cause for celebration, but on this 2007, Grammy-nominated release, the outlaw country troubadour shines in a whole new way. Produced by John Carter Cash, the album features all country-gospel originals, half of them sung in duet with a laundry list of country greats, including the late Johnny Cash, old partner in crime Kris Kristofferson, and Tanya Tucker. Although the Christian-themed lyrics are utterly sincere, fans needn't worry that Shaver has gone soft on them. The music crackles with country-rocking, honky-tonking fire.

| | Jeff Carson CD (1995)
Tim O'Reagan CD music
$7.29 The latest in a long, impressive line of demo singers turned country stars (Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, etc.), Jeff Carson has made a name for himself with the emotional ballad "Not On Your Love." The song, highlighted by a seductive, sentimental chorus, is one of several strong romantic ballads on his impressive, self-titled debut.
Bud don't mistake Carson for some laid-back, sensitive guy. He is more likely to rock the house with humorous, upbeat ditties like "Betty's Taking Judo," a funny tale about a housewife seeking revenge, and the rollicking "Yeah Buddy," a song that revels in its redneck characters. Thanks to such strong material, Carson sings himself right into the middle of Nashville's mainstream.
Jeff Carson's evocative singing style was his apparent asset as a demo singer, and it serves him well on his first venture as a solo artist.
Recorded at Sound Stage Studios, Nashville, Tennessee.
Personnel: Jeff Carson (vocals, harmonica, background vocals); Michael Spriggs, Bob Regan (acoustic guitar); John Willis, J.T. Corenflos, Brent Mason , Brent Rowan (electric guitar); Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Connie Ellisor (violin); Larry Franklin, Rob Hajacos, Jonathan Yudkin (fiddle); John Catchings (cello); Terry McMillan (harmonica); Tony Harrell (piano, keyboards); Lonnie Wilson, Chad Cromwell (drums); ...

Tim O'Reagan album
$22.79 NEW FLAMENCO. INSTRUMENTAL NEW FLAMENCO. INSTRUMENTAL Silk Road A mere mention of that most ancient and illustrious of historically important trade routes evokes vivid images of lonely desert caravans trekking vast expanses of arid sand dunes, isolated oasis settlements, remote mystical cities, snow capped mountain ranges of treacherously icy passes and fathomless ravines, windswept plains, desolateplateaus and colorful trader markets where innumerable foreign cultures converged for hundreds of years to exchange all manner of exotic goods amid a cacophony of even more exotic languages.Just as the Silk Road of antiquity provided vital access routes of cross cultural exchange for myriad peoples from distant lands so will Javid's Silk Road provide a crossroads to encounter exquisitely original guitar compositions infused with distinctive blends of traditional Flamenco, Afro-Cuban and Mid-Eastern rhythms that transport the contemporary listener to an extraordinary realm of diverse musical cultures in which the spirit of the Silk Road of yore lives on.Javid: Acoustic Lead Flamenco Guitar. Naoko W. Khazaeli: Acoustic Rhythm GuitarAllan Philips: Bass, Percussion, Drums, Piano and SynthesizerNico Gutierrez: Percussion, Drums, CajonLiner Narrative by Rick Burrell. Art Design and Graphics by Julieta GarciaPhotography by Fred Olmsted of Great American PhotographyJAVID's Silk Road begins on the fiery, impassioned "Road to Sevilla", which leads to the undulating, mesmerizing Mid-Eastern rhythmsencountered at the gates of "Sahara Castle". Here the weary traveler finds a brief yet refreshing respite in the ethereal "Paz y Amor", a delicate, lilting melody capable of inspiring even the most down trodden soul. All too soon the road beckons onward through a musical landscape bursting with a kaleidoscope of colorful moods. The melancholy and wistful yearning of the restlessly wandering Gypsy expressed in "Flamenco del Corazon" dissipates as the cheerfully uplifting"Amor Amor" picks up the pace with an ardent Latin flavor replete with castanets and hand claps."Rumba en el Aire" continues the fervent momentum, overflowing with an energetically masterful array of percussion instruments that will have you tapping the table with your fingers and the floor with your feet. The path now curves, the pace slows and tranquility reigns supreme as "Calm Moment Before Snowing" eases into the soothing sounds of twilight that herald the approach ...
