| | Mujician There's No Going Back Now CD (2006)
Which Way Now music CDs
$15.39 Both Keith Tippett and Paul Dunmall have extensive discographies, with tons of projects, some of them longstanding. And yet, the one ensemble that stands out for both of them is Mujician and their handful of releases -- well, a bit more than a handful, now that There's No Going Back Now can be added to the pile, four years after Spacetime. This single 45-minute improvisation was recorded on June 12, 2005, with all usual suspects in top shape. The piano may be a bit less assertive than usual, but that has no impact on the group's drive. On the contrary, There's No Going Back Now sounds more urgent, vital, and frantic than Mujician's previous two releases on Cuneiform. On this particular set, Dunmall is the key player, his tenor sax pushing the other three forward. Of course, this being Mujician, the music is collectively shared and the quartet adds to ...

| | Joe Henderson Mode For Joe CD (1966) Bonus Track; Remastered
Which Way Now music CDs
$9.45 Given the date of this release and the band lineup, one might assume that this is a straight-up hard-bop album. However, this 1966 Joe Henderson record--featuring trumpeter Lee Morgan, trombonist Curtis Fuller, vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, pianist Cedar Walton, bassist Ron Carter, and drummer Joe Chambers--is a great example of modern jazz at its best. MODE FOR JOE was recorded during a time of sweeping musical changes due to developments in free jazz, soul jazz, and even early experiments with fusion. It was a time when the bluesy and funky leanings of hard-boppers were giving way to more individualized contemporary approaches. One of the best examples of this shift, MODE FOR JOE sounds more like the experimental work of Branford Marsalis than the ...

| | Taking Back Sunday Tell All Your Friends CD (2002) With DVD; Bonus Tracks
Which Way Now album
$11.89 This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other.
Long Island emo crew Taking Back Sunday are an authentic grass-roots phenomenon. They built their following from the ground up, by touring with the likes of the Alkaline Trio and At The Drive-In, and while it took their debut album TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS the better part of a year to make its way into the Billboard charts, it did so without the benefit of major-label backing. In classic emo fashion, TBS mixes punk energy, pop smarts, and a whole lot of youthful angst. While there are blazing guitars and light-speed drums aplenty to be found here, things never get overbearing. ...

Which Way Now CD music
$9.89 Back in 2002, six people came together with one common goal: To introduce a style of music that was not only extremely entertaining to listen to, but unique in such a way that it would grab everyone's attention no matter what genre of music they preferred. Success was achieved for this goal in the form of Property Six.Based out of Phoenix, Arizona, the original "six" came together and forged a path through the scene that, later on, other local acts would begin to emulate. With the release of their first album "For Sale," Property Six began to create a huge name for themselves by playing with national hip-hop and rock acts such as Curtis Blow, 2LiveCrew, hed(p.e.), Hot Action Cop, KRS ONE, Kingspade, Mower, The Bullet Boys, Digital Underground and many more. Property Six then began a 42 city tour with Arizona phenoms The Phunk Junkeez and gained further recognition nationwide for their unique performance and sound. Success came again in 2006 when Property Six released their second full-length album entitled "Stop the Press." This album set a new standard in the crossover genre by blending elements of hardcore rap, alternative, hip-hop and rock. With moving lyrics, fantastic melodies, and a stage presence that is unbeatable, Property Six took Phoenix by storm with "Stop the Press." The music video for the album's title track was then produced in mid 2006 and drew even more attention to Property Six by showcasing government and media corruption. In late 2008, Property Six took the next step into furthering their careers by signing a distribution deal for their second full-length album "Stop ...
