Against a backdrop of police corruption in a lurid Las Vegas underworld, Officer Johnny Lee (Steven Vincent Leigh) sets out to avenge the untimely death of his partner Alan (Jeff Pruitt), who was brutally murdered during an art gallery heist on the eve of his retirement. With Alan's tough-willed sister Vicky (Sophia Crawford) as his only help, and an ancient sword as his only link to the savage killer, Johnny is forced to unleash the one weapon that can't be defeated...himself. After his partner is murdered, a cop goes undercover in Las Vegas to figure out who's responsible and get revenge. There, he winds up encountering vicious gangsters and uncovering police corruption. Although he's clearly outnumbered, the officer's enemies aren't counting on his martial arts skills. Also coming in handy is an ancient sword that links the policeman to his partner's slayer. Will this one-man-army be able to defeat the villains and nab the killer? A martial-arts expert Las Vegas cop infiltrates the seedy Vegas underworld to avenge the death of his partner. Using an ancient sword as his introduction into the killer's lair, he uses his considerable powers to survive and gain his revenge. Filmed on location in Las Vegas, Nevada.

$7.29 Director Bruce Beresford makes a foray into the genre of psychological mystery with this film, which stars Richard Dreyfuss as psychologist Dr. Jake Rainer. The doctor has gone into retirement after the trauma of having an autistic child under his care commit suicide. Thus, when approached by local sheriff Michael Rivers (J.T. Walsh) with a request that he try to get through to an autistic nine-year-old boy Tim Warden (Ben Faulkner), who likely witnessed and possibly committed the double murder of his parents, he initially demurs. However, he puts aside his reservations after hearing that another psychologist, Dr. Harlinger (John Lithgow), intends to drug the boy into revealing the truth. When police entered the murder scene, they had found, along with the bloody victims, the boy brandishing a knife, and his teenaged sister Sylvie (Liv Tyler), cowering in the closet. Since the girl saw nothing, Rainer begins to work slowly and patiently with this boy who has never spoken, using a method ...
