industrial or dark hard dance?? i really dig the sound of bands like funker vogt and hocico. do i consider them industrial? no. more party industrial. only thing that sounds like industrial are the vocals. sooo much distortion and reverb i really don't understand what the dude is saying but then again i like the overall package. instead of buying all their albums you could buy this dvd and its like a visual greatest hits. good stage prescense and great sound. like i was saying earliar, its more in the hard german tec genre. so most songs kinda blend together and sound a like. same BPM's and drum pattern. i really like the bonus footage though. really cool. i'm not hating on hocico but i see them as hard floor, EBM, or german tec. kinda like front 242. more lush keyboards rather than harsh crunchy sounds. overall, i still give the dvd 4 stars cause its close to being 160 min long. if you want more of a "real" industrial dvd check out the ministry or skinny puppy dvd's. whoa, then the dark harshness starts. my only complaint isn't with the dvd but with cd universe. the dvd and cd i bought were suppose to be shipped within 1 or 2 days. a week later i get it.lol. i wasn't mad but i was dying to see my hocico dvd and play skinny puppys classic "rabbies."ha ha. cool dvd though. just get your sub wooofer ready for an hour of a german house. you know. bong, bong, bong, bong. ha ha. laters Submitted by PaTrick the masTer b0ng BlasTeR (montgomery, southern republik) Was This Review Helpful? Hocico - A Traves De Mundos Que Arden movie DVD
$15.09 Since their formation in 1998, German electronica band Blutengel has garnered an international cult following with their distinct admixture of industrial, goth, and rock. The extravagance of the live shows put on by founder Chris Pohl has also become widely recognized, with sets, lighting, and costumes that complement the music with an atmosphere of dark, haunting beauty. These aspects are in full effect in this concert film, shot during the group's 2004 tour promoting their record DEMON KISS. Comprised of two shows held in Dortmund and Cologne, the set list features ...

Hocico - A Traves De Mundos Que Arden video
$12.15 Audio Mixers: Sven "Ninja" Heine; Andre Winter; Ronan Harris. Some bands make their mark from the get-go and never top that first burst of creativity, while others build on what they started with, and reach newer heights over time. Over the course of many years and albums, Ronan Harris and Mark Jackson have proven themselves to be a stellar example of the latter, with the work of VNV Nation turning from a series of sometimes overly stern homages to pioneers of electronic body music to an increasingly warm and romantic approach combined with an equal love of rabble-rousing punk shoutalongs and stadium-scaled rave celebrations. As with their previous release, there's a stirring instrumental opener ("Pro Victoria"), a piano-led ballad towards the end ("From My Hands"), a lengthy near-instrumental with occasional interjections from Harris ("Art of Conflict"), and a downbeat, defiantly moody song after an initial series of instant anthems ("Ghost"). But far from being a simple rehash, this is the more cohesive album. Other immediately catchy winners fill out the rest of the album without a flaw -- the upbeat celebratory groove of "In Defiance," the slow build and release of "Verum Aeternus," with some of Harris' loveliest singing, and the concluding ...
| | Ali DVD (2001) Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled
Hocico - A Traves De Mundos Que Arden film
$9.79 Michael Mann's ALI manages to be an informative look at the career of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali and an entertaining and moving portrait of the man. The action begins with the brash young Cassius Clay's surprising victory over Sonny Liston. The film depicts Clay's conversion to Islam, his partnership with "Bundini" Brown (Jamie Foxx in a wonderfully complex turn), his friendship with Howard Cosell (a transformed Jon Voight), his principled refusal to serve in the military during Vietnam, and his subsequent problems with the law and the boxing commission. The film concludes with Ali's battle with George Foreman in the "Rumble in the Jungle."
Will Smith delivers a worthy performance, transforming his body, face, and voice to capture the spirit of the charismatic fighter. The work of the supporting cast is superb, including Smith's real-life wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Marvin Gaye's daughter, Nona Gaye, as the women in Ali's life. Mann brings the viewer in close to the boxing action, effectively depicting Ali's unique grace and quickness, and the violent frenzy of the ...
