Mincer
$11.99 Personnel: Ilya Toshinsky (acoustic guitar, banjo); Steven Sheehan (acoustic guitar); Jerry McPherson, Kenny Greenberg, Brent Mason (electric guitar); Paul Franklin (dobro); Randy Scruggs (banjo); Aubrey Haynie (mandolin, fiddle); John Catchings, Kristin Wilkinson, Mary Kathryn Van Osdale, David Angell (strings); Dave Koz (saxophone); Steve Nathan (piano, keyboards); Charles Judge (synthesizer, programming); Chris McHugh (drums); Jim Hoke (Jew's harp); Eric Darken, Arthur Thompson (percussion); Angela Primm, Perry Coleman, Gayle Mayes (background vocals). Audio Mixer: Mills Logan. With most contemporary country artists, you could guarantee that a song called "American Ride" would be a slice of jingoism, but Toby Keith isn't like most country singers. His "American Ride" casts a cynical eye at desperate housewives and wannabe pop stars, not celebrating down-home values but wondering where we're all headed on this American Ride ...

| | Deep Purple In Rock CD (1970) Gold
Mincer
$20.29 Deep Purple: Ian Gillan (vocals); Ritchie Blackmore (guitar); Jon Lord (keyboards); Roger Glover (bass); Ian Paice (drums). Engineers: Martin Birch, Andy Knight, Phillip McDonald. After satisfying all of their classical music kinks with keyboard player Jon Lord's overblown Concerto for Group and Orchestra, Deep Purple's soon to be classic Mark II version made its proper debut and established the sonic blueprint that would immortalize this lineup of the band on 1970's awesome In Rock. The cacophony of sound (spearheaded by Ritchie Blackmore's blistering guitar solo) introducing opener "Speed King" made it immediately obvious that the band was no longer fooling around, but the slightly less intense "Bloodsucker" did afford stunned listeners a chance to catch their breaths before the band launched into the album's epic, ten-minute tour de force, "Child in Time." In what still stands as arguably his single greatest performance, singer Ian Gillan led his bandmates on a series of hypnotizing crescendos, from the song's gentle beginning through to its ear-shattering ...

| | Wulfers, Ted & Beggar's Bridge Agave Blue CD (2005)
Mincer
$16.45 Agave Blue is Ted Wulfers' 3rd official CD release (2002 and the first CD to establish Wulfers as a mainstream artist. Co-produced by Chris Shepard (Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews, Wilco and Buddy Guy) and Wulfers, Agave Blue is a musical journey that highlights the incredible songwriting, storytelling and musicianship of Wulfers.Released in 2002, Agave Blue has produced radio singles such as "Tequila 'N Me," "Something of Everything," "Naked Pleasure," "When Nightfall Comes Around" and the fan favorite, "College." "St. Estephe," the beautiful "Desiree" and "Crawl" have also become fan/cult favorites.Pre-production and planning for Agave Blue began in October 2000. The album was recorded and mixed in and around Chicago during the summer and fall months of 2001. Ted worked closely with Chris Shepard to co-produce, engineerand mix the new album. A large, century-old farmhouse, dubbed "The Cathouse," was rented and converted into a modern day studio with Shepard's CMIX portable studio and served as the production location. Though a large majority of the tracking was completed there, the rest took place at the Chicago Recording Company (CRC). Roger Seibel at SAE Mastering mastered the album in Phoenix, Ariz.Ted sang lead and background vocals and played most of the instruments on Agave Blue. These included acoustic and electric guitars, bass, piano, lap steel, dobro, keyboards, harmonica, drums, percussion and fly reel. Other musicians who assisted with the album include Matt Walker (Smashing Pumpkins, Filter) on drums, Bruce Breckenfeld on the Hammond B-3 organ, Carey Deadman on trumpet, Christine Favia on flute, Colin Murphy on fiddle, guitar and background vocals, Matthew Ciccone on keyboards and Mark Cantwil sang background vocals. "In the two years of putting together Agave Blue, I knew that the final album would have something almost everyone could relate and get into. And if you want proof, just listen to the album. The proof is in the music. The songs are very durable and to this day, we always get requests for Agave Blue songs ...

Mincer
$13.19 The huge catalog of prolific bluesman Johnny Winter can be a daunting thing, but BLACK CAT BONE: THE ANTHOLOGY has a distinctive slant on Winter's work; it focuses mainly on rare recordings (including many live tracks) from early in the incendiary guitarist's career, allowing us to hear his hard-driving style taking shape before our very ears. Note: most of these tracks, along with others of the same vintage, have been compiled on other ...
