| Every 49er Fan should own a copy!!!
NFL History of the San Francisco 49ers DVD First of all, the reason I bought this DVD was for the complete footage of the 1981 Championship game against the Cowboys. I was thrilled with all of the extra content (player interviews, Super Bowl highlights), but the complete overview of the 49ers history was astonishing. I thought I knew all there was to know about the Niners.... well, I was wrong! This is the ultimate DVD for the 49er Fan's collection.... If you are truly part of the 49er faithful, you will by this DVD.

| Completely missing important 1970 season
NFL History of the San Francisco 49ers movie This is a good overall 49ers' history, but seems too heavily-weighted on the 1980s and the 1990s... and completely glosses over the first golden age of the 'Niners in the playoffs (1970, 1971 and 1972) without much detail... There were MANY great games played in those years - and I was hoping to see more detailed highlights from the 1970 season (especially the great 38-7 NFC West Division clinching game against the Raiders, AND detailed highlights from the first EVER 49ers NFC playoff win against the Vikings (17-14) in frozen Minnesota - and detailed NFL Films Game of the Week highlights of the last game ever played at Kezar Stadium vs Dallas (the '70 Title game won by the Cowboys, 17-10)... the ONLY play shown from that Dallas game is a John Brodie touchdown pass to Dick Witcher.... NFL History of the San Francisco 49ers video also missing are much or all of the other playoff games vs Dallas and Detroit from 1971 and 1972 - save for 10-30 seconds of token footage... was hoping that old NFL films season highlights packages from 1970-72 would have been more represented here, too. Perhaps it would have been better to have had a Bonus Feature content like a "RIVALRIES" section - that could have encapsulated chapters on all games vs. Cowboys, Rams, etc... Even the "John Brodie" bonus feature content is missing many more memorable moments from the 1970-72 years that would have been great to see again....
