Tru Fan Base I'm a huge fan of the Nasty Boy Clique -- Although they've changed their names so many times, they are still the same. Even tho' MC Magic ain't part of this group anymore, he's still doing his thing. Tonytalkbox is an Awesome Talkboxer, and did a great job on Producing this album, with Angelina, Dos n Ziggy' -- Mad Props to the group! Still holding it down for their fan base, and MC Magics "Magic City" is also a great album, I highly recommend both, if you're a true FAN! I love track 2, 4 And 9... GREAT Love jams...!! God Bless You Guys' NEW RIDAZ FO' LIFE! Submitted by Julie Davis (Hanford, CA. 559 (Central Valley)) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Not the Same! I've been an Nb Ridaz fan since the old days... I really don't like the new album.. it's not the same with MC Magic.. and it will never be. People got their stories twisted, calling Magic greedy and all.. when you all really don't know the truth. The real Nb Ridaz Fans have to open up their eyes.. and see that without the Founder and Producer of the original, the group is nothing. You don't see MC Magic pulling immature moves calling people greedy or anything like that on myspace. I was one of the few fans that received in a private message, not in a bulletin so that everyone sees, a copy from MC Magic's email to ZigZagg and Dos.. so not unless you've read that.. then you shouldn't be picking sides.. by the way.. ZiggZagg and Dos never replied to him..
I do recommend "Magic City".. that's proof to show you that MC Magic is still bringing the sound he created.. Latin HipPop and the "NB Ridaz sound" with his unique "talkbox" sound..
And those are my 2 cents on the album.. and the group Submitted by Ruben E. (619, San Diego, California) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Ray Barretto Tomorrow: Live CD (1976)
New Ridaz music CDs
$14.75 Over the years, Ray Barretto has commanded respect in two different genres: salsa and Latin jazz. Not surprisingly, his salsa recordings have been much bigger sellers than his Latin jazz recordings -- while artists of the latter genre usually play small clubs, the big names in salsa can easily pack a sports arena in areas with a large Cuban or Puerto Rican population. When this two-LP set came out in 1976, Barretto was a superstar in salsa -- although many of the salseros who loved him for "Guarare" and the cha-cha "Cocinando" (which was the basis for Poncho Sanchez's "Sonando") were less likely to spend money on one of his Latin jazz releases. So not surprisingly, salsa is the main focus of Tomorrow: Barretto Live, which was recorded at New York's Beacon Theater on May 28, 1976. Though the album includes a few Latin jazz instrumentals, most Barretto fans bought it to hear five-star performances of such salsa favorites as "Ahora Si Que Vamo A Gozar," "Guarare," "Cocinando," and "Ban Ban Quere" (which boasts a passionate performance by singer Ruben Blades). Meanwhile, percussionist Tito Puente joins Barretto's hard-swinging band on a 14-minute performance of "Que Viva La Musica." Superb from start to finish, Tomorrow: Barretto Live is among Barretto's essential recordings. ~ Alex Henderson

$10.69 | | Lionel Richie Just For You CD (2004)
New Ridaz songs
$32.59 Lionel Richie's talent for crafting picture-perfect pop songs cannot be understated. In fact, his remarkable success during the 1970s and '80s, as both the leader of the Commodores and a solo artist, often overshadows his reputation as a remarkably deft songwriter. His singles--"Hello," "Still," and "Sail On," for example--could seem subdued and simple, but they each contained a certain melancholy mood and stories within stories, like successively smaller Russian dolls. After virtually vanishing for over a decade following his multi-platinum record DANCING ON THE CEILING, he resurfaced in the late '90s.
JUST FOR YOU is the third album by this reborn Lionel Richie, and it finds him getting comfortable in his new mode, which is refreshingly close to the pop classics he penned years before. The album is stocked full of simple yet multifaceted pop songs swimming in hooks; there's a dash of R&B from his old days, especially on the jazzy, funky "Do Ya," but, for the most part, Richie sticks to his trademark brand of adult-contemporary ...
