This double-disc set features recordings made by the great clarinetist Buddy DeFranco made in late 1953 through 1954. He is showcased in a number of different groups: one with pianist Sonny Clark, bassist Gene Wright, and drummer Bobby White, another with Oscar Peterson's group (appended by Russ Garcia & His Orchestra), another with Art Blakey and Milt Hinton, and another with Lionel Hampton and Buddy Rich. There are whopping 24 cuts on this wonderful set, which include a healthy helping of the Buddy DeFranco & Oscar Peterson Play George Gershwin album. While it's true there is nothing here that is unreleased or rare, the price tag is quite affordable, the presentation is decent, and the sound quality up to current standards, making this a really good buy if you haven't got the material in your collection already. ~ Thom Jurek

Kill Switch...Klick started out as a solo recording project of d.A. Sebasstian in 1991. Later Mike Ditmore joined and KsK started playing out live in the Seattle area.Various members came and went but the core remained Sebasstian and Ditmore. They signed to Cleopatra Records in 1994 after a brief stint on the now defunct Urge Ltd label in 1993.In 1995 KsK released Beat It To Fit, Paint It To Match and Oddities & Versions both on Cleopatra Records.
