Import version features one bonus track, 'History Repeating' (Remix). Matt Dusk, the velvety-voiced Canadian crooner, is back with his new album Back In Town with favourite standards from the American Songbook and original pop songs (which sound like you already know them). The track list is upbeat and fresh, reflecting Matt's vibrant frame of mind. Much of the new album was recorded in Los Angeles at the legendary Capital Studios in Studio A - where the walls have resonated with the voices of such iconic singers as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Dean Martin. Back In Town album
$5.99 The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to ...
| | Slayer World Painted Blood CD (2009)
Back In Town CD music
$10.39 Of the "big four" original thrash bands (the other three being Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth), Slayer was the least compromising and most consistent. As such, 2009's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD recalled more than the title of Slayer's 1986 masterpiece REIGN IN BLOOD; it shared the earlier album's ...
| | Katatonia Night Is The New Day CD (2009)
Back In Town music CDs
$14.29 The latest album from Swedish doom rockers Katatonia, their first studio effort since 2006, is as moody and beautiful as their other latter-day work. The group's career can be marked in two stages based on the condition of singer Jonas Renske's vocal cords -- basically, after the band's first two albums, he developed health problems that prevented him from performing harsh death growls, and ever since the band has moved in an increasingly melodic direction, even covering songs by Will Oldham and Jeff Buckley. It's unsurprising to learn that Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt helped out ...

| | Queen Greatest Hits I, II & III: The Platinum Collection CDs (2001) Box Set
Back In Town album
$15.29 Recorded between 1974 & 1997. Includes liner notes by Jim Jenkins, Jacky Smith, Andy Davis, Phil Symes.
With Queen officially enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, Hollywood Records reintroduces the band yet again with the release of GREATEST HITS I, II & III. While Volumes I and II are full of Queen classics you already know by heart, the third cobbles together odds and sods from the far corners of Queen's canon along with solo cuts from Freddie Mercury and Brian May.
Opening with the operatic rock classic "Bohemian Rhapsody," it's easy to hear not only how this British quartet achieved the kind of global acclaim that ensured they'd be enshrined alongside the likes of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. When ...

| | Iggy And The Stooges Wild Love: The Detroit Rehearsals & More CD (2001)
Back In Town music CDs
$11.79 Although Bomp Records has been issuing Stooges live recordings and demos for some time now (including such titles as ROUGH POWER, CALIFORNIA BLEEDING, I'M SICK OF YOU, YEAR OF THE IGUANA, etc.), the 2001 release WILD LOVE: THE DETROIT REHEARSALS & MORE is one of the more interesting releases thus far. Comprised of 13 tracks that stretch to over an hour in length, the album features songs demoed from around the time of their 1973 classic RAW POWER, mixing originals with covers and impromptu jams.
Longtime Stooges fans will have heard some of the material on previous import collections ("Wild Love," "Pin Point Eyes," "Til the End of the Night"), but the majority of the selections ...

| | Bob Marley Roots Of A Legend CD (2004) Bonus DVD; Remastered
Back In Town album
$16.59 Bob Marley is best known for his classic Island Records catalog, and while that material is undeniably great, there are many Marley fans and historians who feel that his finest recordings actually came earlier, when he and the Wailers were still largely a Jamaican phenomenon. Wherever one stands on that issue, the fact remains that Marley's early work, particularly the sessions with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry in 1970 and 1971, are of an uncommonly high quality. This collection combines several of the Perry tracks ("The Sun Is Shining," "Duppy Conqueror," "African Herbsman," "Mr. Brown") with those produced by Leslie Kong ("Soul Shakedown Party") and by the Wailers themselves ("Trench Town Rock," "Lively Up Yourself," both of which were originally released on the group's own Tuff Gong label), and the selections are ...
| | Jordan Johnson On My Own CD (2006)
Back In Town CD music
$9.59 Singers. Songwriters. Producers. A musician that excels in any one of these fields is difficult to come by. Jordan Johnson is among the select few that excels in all three. Jordan began pursuing a singing career at the age of 14, when he submitted a homemade acappella demo and beat out thousands of hopefuls to be in an Orlando-based boyband. Jordan found himself spending most of his free time attending dance rehearsals, recording sessions, and photoshoots. Although the group seemed to be on the fast-track to success, they disbanded only eight months later when a contractual dispute left them in legal limbo with two seperate companies. Noticing Jordan's immense dedication to his new craft, well known songwriter/producer Rod Wilson (Gloria Estefan, Take 5, Boyz N Girlz United) asked Jordan to begin co-writing music with him for artists such as B5, D'versity, and Jazé. Jordan also began researching and learning as much as he could about music production from various producers that he befriended during that time. Finally feeling ready to begin working on a solo music career, Jordan began writing and producing his own material, and released two independent CDs by the time he had turned 16. After touring central Florida and selling an impressive number of CDs for someone so young, Jordan chose to focus again on honing his musical craft. Utilizing his growing number of music industry contacts, Jordan began writing and co-producing songs with Clay Garrett (Brian McKnight, Take 6, Last Kry), John Buchanan (Status), and Jean T. Na (Az Yet, Jon B., Shanice). After recording a new EP, Jordan was offered the chance to tour the southeast as the opening act ...

Back In Town album
$5.99 ORBIS ORBIS ORBIS ORBIS ORBIS ORBISThe March 2006 EP from Orbis is a smaller teaser of what's to come... The next full length album will blow your doors off! These are going to be collector's editions of these songs... The final versions will have more, and we wanted to include all our fans in what we're up to and our creative process. Some of these recording are over a year old already and have grown a lot since originally recorded through experimentation and live performance. Pay particular attention to the intensity of the Spirit & Funeral - both slower songs that have many times brought entire venues to their knees; the pop sensibilities and harmonies in Revelation with its forefront Police-esque bass line and full tilt choruses; and Get Up's ever-shifting verses going from Hard rock to disco to insane slap-o-rama 16th funk rock. These are the trademarks of Orbis. Never hearing the same old same old, even in ...
