It all started back in 1991 when Darren was given a flute while at work, He left for home later that day, only to place the flute as a display piece within the home at which he lived at for 13 years now. A year had passed by, in the early spring, Darren decided to sit up during the late night hours working on his native regalia for the upcoming years' events such as powwows, celebrations, and ceremonies. Continously working thru the late night hours, the Sun was about to rise. It was then he decided to grab his coat and hat, walk down to the lake and present an offering to the spirits that has guided him throughout his life. While in the house yet, he noticed the flute on display, he then grabbed it and decided to check it out. In those early morning hours, birds were starting to chirp n' sing. Beavers swimming near by, fish jumping out ot the water, and ducks swimming nearby. He then made his offering and prayed thanking the creator for everything that is dear to him and for others to be healed or helped out in ways that are needed. At that moment, Darren had heard singing coming from nowhere only to find himself closing his eyes and listening to the distant sounds. Honing in by listening, he had found himself looking out into the middle of the lake. He soon recognized that the errie sounds were coming from a loon.
