$14.79 Third Road Home was the band name used by singer/songwriter Trinity Demask when she and her husband Tom were performing together. Tom has since taken a hiatus from performing so Trinity is currently performing and recording under her own name. However, Tom is still recording with Trinity and occasionally drops in at shows to play a few tunes. The following is Third Road Home’s old bio, but if you like what you hear, please check out Trinity’s new CD “Crucible.” ****************************"Forty years from now, when the world looks back on this new age of folk, Third Road Home will be riding high on the list of genre-defining artists. Call it the 'Colorado sound' if you will. I just call it great music." - Kenny Hart, Indie-Music.com "One of the best CDs of 2004" - The Indie Acoustic Project, www.indieacoustic.comInsightful, heartfelt, and enchanting only begin to describe Third Road Home. The Colorado couple combine eloquent lyrics and soaring harmonies with expressive instrumentation and a genuine, down-to-earth style. It is a soul-stirring blend of earthy Americana that is as evocative, compelling, and ethereal as it is warm and accessible. Like sipping Irish coffee ...

Get This album
$9.35 Although the truism of less being more in the realm of singer/songwriters generally holds true, occasionally one is provided with a startling reminder that the tendency toward simplicity should only be attempted by those who have a firm grasp of how to make a recording both basic and interesting. And even though one is given ample evidence that Mike Toschi means well with his uncomplicated arrangements of acoustic guitar, extremely streamlined melodies, and ineloquent lyrics, the final product isn't all that successful in bringing out a distinguished character through the simplicity of his songwriting. His breathy monotone is seemingly only capable of journeying up the scale a few notes, and everything about his songwriting is choppy and crude, from the melodies to the fragmented lyrics. In fact, Toschi largely comes off as more amateurish than profound in his heavy-handed attempts to cast his vision as political commentary ...

$6.69 The Bizczar Sinista developed a love for Hip Hop culture dating back to the 1980's. It all started after his cousin took him to the Hip Hop concerts Fresh Fest 1 & 2. He also was a loyal listener to the underground hip hop formats on the University of Chicago's WHPK radio station, and would record the shows to stay current with the trends. As a youth he attended the Singapore American School in Singapore and there became a student of the performing arts. After returning to Chicago and the years past he attended Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Illinois. He was a class clown that wrote for the school newspaper, played sports, a member of the marching & concert band worked at a few record stores, and was a member of Junior Acheivement's program at WGCI radio in Chicago. The Junior Acheivement program at WGCI radio provided students in good academic standing the opportunity to learn the mechanics and participate in the full operation of a broadcast station. This included the development of program logs, establishing sales accounts, creating commercials, and broadcasting as a on air announcer. Other tasks were assisting in the production of formats for some of the biggests names in Chicago radio such as Tom Joyner, Doug Banks, Ramonski Luv and Disco Dave. Because of his good performance in the Junior Acheivement program, Ramonski Luv and Disco Dave would invite him to co-host and produce a Hip Hop format called the "Rap Down" during it's early stages. After the conclusion of the Junior Acheivement program, he continued to work part time at several Chicagoland record stores and stayed in pursuit of a career in the Entertainment industry by staying active in Chicago's Hip Hop community.Several years later he contributed to a local music publication "Jam Sessions" writing music reviews and interviewing established & rising recording artists and producers. He completed an album "The Course Lessons ...
| | Priscilla Ederle Diamond Fields CD (2002)
Get This songs
$12.65 Priscilla Ederle took seven years to follow up her impressive 1994 debut, Last Will & Testament, but it was a smart move. Ederle allowed herself the time to personally and professionally explore, and the end result was a move from her native Detroit to the sunny beaches of California. Musically, she switched from poetic folk-pop to a melodically tight folk-inspired rock sound. The Diamond Fields highlights Ederle's maturation as a singer/songwriter, and it proves a stylish, decent effort. Ederle tweaks minimal ...
