Premik is a flutist-saxophonist-composer-arranger and producer. He has worked with Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Narada Michael Walden, and Lonnie Liston-Smith among others. He is equally at home in popular, jazz, R&B, new age and experimental styles. His composing credits also include music for sports documentaries, sketch comedies and corporate training "Mission-Transcendence" represents two years of artistic incubation for me. Since first hearing Ravi Shankar and other great Indian artists as a teenager, I've been fascinated with the idea of bringing these elements together under one roof, along with my own Western pop and jazz background. In August of 2001, I was fortunate to meet and record with Vijay Shankar Mishra, a great exponent of the sarod, an Indian fretless string instrument. He is equally talented as a vocalist, singing in the traditional Hindustani style of North India. From these first collaborations was born the concept for this album. For more information, feel free to visit my site at www.premik.com Mission-Transcendence Music | Category | Jazz Albums, International CDs, World | | Label | Premik | | Orig Year | 2004 | | CD Universe Part number | 7124906 | | Catalog number | 22989 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Dec 14, 2004 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Recording Time | 76 minutes |

| | Nelson Gill One World, One Light CD (2001)
Mission-Transcendence CD music
$14.79 One World, One Light continues in the same vein as Nelson Gill's first two albums, shuffling through a few different Caribbean musical styles (in this case, punta, reggae, soca, dancehall, and limbo) with catchy melodies and simple lyrics that are targeted at children. Happily, there is more variety on this record than on its predecessor. There are a couple of the "let's rock and dance" numbers that dominated Friends -- "Everybody Limbo" and "Dance" -- but they are fewer and farther between. Instead, there is a whimsical punta tune about a donkey who "for whatever reason" likes to sing the vowels ("Nowell [the Singing Donkey]"), a sharply crafted advertisement for Gill's homeland ("Come to Belize"), and a pair of inspirational reggae songs ("One World, One Light" and "Longest Journey") that could easily stand up to scrutiny ...

Mission-Transcendence music CDs
$16.45 Leonard Sanders born and raised in the central valley started music ministry at the age of 3 or 4 years olds. I had an older brother who was in kindergarten at the time. I remember trying to keep myself entertained until by brother came home from school so we could play. I was fortunate enough to have an old upright piano in house that was located in the back of the church on Fig Ave. My mother said when the insurance man came to collect the insurance he heard me playing and asked how old I was. He said that one day I would be something. That is where my journey began. By the age of 8 I was playing for the church services. I can remember being very shy and my parents always bragged on me to all of their friends on how well I could play. I didn’t want to let them down so I was glued to every pianist and organist I saw watching there every move. I couldn’t wait to get home to try it on my upright piano. At the age of 14 I started getting calls from other churches to play for their choirs and services. I remember playing the California District Council Central Valley Mass Choir at the age of 14. I grew up listening to the Hawkins, Edwin and Walter and Love Center, The Winans, Milton Brunson, Andre Crouch, James Cleveland, Aretha, Clark Sister, Commission and many others Thomas Whitfield and Joe Sample. I have gained many friends and been blessed by so many that it has become a journey that never ends and it’s not about being the best at something but touching someone’s life at a particular time in their life. I can remember playing a certain song over and over again because it was helping through a period in my life when I needed something to hold on to. I recorded my first song at the age of 21 with a family group called the Supreme Jubilees. “It’ll All Be Over” was the title of the album. I released my first solo project in 2004 “Feel The Holy Spirit” God is continuing to bless me to take the ministry forward. Here's a review from a radio station: still enjoy the cd. You have a favorite track from Tune Gospel's CD vote! We've heard all the tracks of this CD after ordering a second copy. Track one "God's Got It", is our favorite track! We also enjoy your LP's & 45's Leonard Sanders & The Sunset Jubilees! I buy and collect LP's ,45's and 8-Tracks and broadcast them on a station called Tune G. We are probably the only radio station that does this. You have fans on Tune G.! With your permission we would really like to broadcast "God's Got It" on our station! It would be the first song played in our new TGC (Tune Gospel CD's) weekend playlist starting in mid February in rotation with a song from other gospel artists independent and so forth. Your cd cover will be added to our cd photo gallery! This would be the first time ...
