| | Barbara Montgomery Trinity CD Barbara Montgomery Discography of CDs
Trinity is a very different recording for singer Barbara Montgomery. For one thing, she co-wrote five of the 12 songs with pianist Aaron Graves. Also, a couple of the songs are in French and even on the English songs, she often hints at an exotic French accent. In addition, there is a pair of Leonard Cohen songs. The only older standard is "I Fall in Love Too Easily" although Van Morrison's "Crazy Love" almost qualifies. The emphasis throughout is on ballads and is as much pop and cabaret as it is jazz. There are some nice instrumental touches from Graves' keyboards, Joe Ford's soprano on "Little One," and flugelhornist John Swana on Stevie Wonder's "If It's Magic." But the main focus is on Barbara Montgomery's haunting and atmospheric voice, which is a taste worth acquiring. ~ Scott Yanow Trinity Music | Category | Jazz Albums, Jazz Instrument CDs, Bebop | | Label | bjazz.com | | Orig Year | 2005 | | CD Universe Part number | 7125553 | | Catalog number | 82363 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Aug 02, 2005 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Recording Time | 73 minutes |

| | Trapezoid Remembered Ways CD (1994)
Trinity songs
$14.79 Trapezoid has entered the world of the new impressionism with its release of Remembered Ways. While the music is inspired by life in rural America, there is enough eclecticism in this New Age folk sound to conjure images of country life anywhere in the world. The vocals are pure poetry as sung by Trapezoid's Martha Sandefer. This nearly all-acoustic ensemble treats these original tunes by Trapezoid's founder Paul Reisler with the reverence of old traditional ones but with a daring of Promethean proportions... ~ MusD
A collection of original songs and instrumentals by Paul Reisler celebrating life in rural America. It’s about the people, places, and stories of the people living in the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia that evoke that timesless sense of a life lived close to the land. The seed that inspired this album came from the work of Wendell Berry, a poet/farmer/teacher/environmentalist from Kentucky who writes beautifully about the land and people’s relationship to it. Featuring Trapezoid; Paul Reisler, guitars and hammered dulcimer; Bobby Read, keyboards, winds, and percussion,; Cecil Hooker, violin: Martha Sandefer, vocals, rhythm guitar and a bunch of Trapezoid’s favorite musician friends including; Ysaye Barnwell, Howard Levy, Mike Auldridge, Lorraine Duisit, Peter Mark Prince and others. The Press:“The tunes climb up the Blue Ridge and down to the Bayou and back up the ...

| | Steve Bradshaw Things I Know CD (2003)
Trinity CD music
$15.19 Rest Assured that Stevens latest release is merely a scratch upon the surface of this very talented Artist. It embodies his abilities to write passionately about the things in his life with both strong vocal melodies & lyrics that come directly from his heart, without reservation. "It is what it is" as he puts it. The subjects range from the passing of the Beatles to prescription drug abuse,to "In A Mother's Eyes" a deeply emotional song Steven wrote about a mother grieving the death of her son to suicide. The song "I'm Not" is a must-have in any acoustic song list.More to come....Take a listen, it will definately be worth the time if you like the James Taylor meets acoustic pop/rock style he's developed. About Steven... People who have had the pleasure of experiencing Steven's unique and individual brand of acoustic pop/rock all agree on one thing,it has a captivating quality in itself that weaves both the performer and listener through an emotional journey to places they've been, places they're going, and places they stand.Simply put,his music has a soothing and emotional characteristic that can touch the essence of a soul.Steven has most often been compared to a cross between James Taylor and R.E.M.,with just a touch of Phil Collins and Sting.Quite a comparison, indeed, but it suits him well.He has a unique vocal and songwriting style that has landed him on various compilation CD's,and an "Honorable Mention"in Billboard's National Songwriting Contest for his song"Hollywood".He was born in Redstone,Alabama, but grew up while traveling all over the Continental United States and Europe. He even spent several years in Guatemala. His father was a distinguished Colonel in the United States Army,so Steven spent the first 17 years of his life on the move & on the road."I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in this world"he said,"I've met people, been places, and seen things most people will only see in National Geographic".It was during his early traveling years that he picked up his father's mail-ordered Sears Silvertone guitar and started teaching himself how to play.By age 9 he'd started his first three piece band, orchestrated a neighborhood concert, and sold all the tickets.Yeah, those were the days, and little did he know. He continued his musical endeavors on through Jr.High and High school prolifically writing, performing, and ...

Trinity music CDs
$17.09 With Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Paul Bley, Elvis Costello, John Coltrane and Egberto Gismonti among her many formative influences, Anat Fort’s music can also subtly hint at her geographical origins. Born near Tel Aviv, she studied classical piano as a child and began improvising from an early age, all the while remaining open to the many musical sounds of her environment. In the early 1990’s, Anat came to the United States to study jazz, looking to balance a natural tendency towards freer playing with a firm grounding in the tradition. Her sojourn resulted in her self-produced debut album Peel, and commissions to write for various ensembles including chamber and chorus and orchestra. Her most recent commission was premiered at the Opera House in Tel Aviv in January 2006. Anat received two artist-in-residence grants from the Jerome Foundation as well as the Creative Connections award from Meet the Composer. A session recorded with drummer Paul Motian, bassist Ed Schuller, and clarinetist Perry Robinson was brought ...
