| | Berg Somewhere Between CD Berg Discography of CDs
A 28-year-old veteran of the Gainesville, Florida music scene, Berg blends acoustic roots, folks and alternative rock with crafty lyrics and a pinch of pop sensibility - a recipe for engaging songs with artistic flare. This formula for success is readily evident on Berg's latest release, Somewhere Between - a collection of upbeat songs with melodic hooks, recorded live, solo acoustic in one four-hour session at Rec Room Recording Studios in Gainesville. Somewhere Between captures an intimate, in-your-living-room feel that makes Berg's music so personal to the listener. The tenor of Somewhere Between ranges from the feel-good, upbeat "Things Remembered" to the reflective, somber "Goodbye." In between, "Here's To Hoping" offers a sense optimism amidst indifference, while the title track "Somewhere Between" takes the listener on a journey through the catharsis of songwriting. "All I Want" follows a stream-of-conscience glance at the psyche of a typical 18-24-year-old male, while "1989" takes a fun look back at a time where little else mattered but getting caught up in life. A energetic version of "Letters From Picasso" is the crossroads of Somewhere Between, fusing together Berg's passionate lyricism and the core of his musical influences. Purchase Somewhere Between CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Moby Wait For Me CD (2009)
Somewhere Between album
$13.19 Following the decadent, club-style excursions of 2008's HOTEL, Moby returns for a more contemplative sound on the melancholic WAIT FOR ME. Working through deeply personal material and a more intimate, though at times cinematic, sound palette, the album ranks as among his best in over 10 years.
Moby's most unified and understated album, and all the better for it, WAIT FOR ME is a morose set of elegantly bleary material, quite a shift from the hedonistic club tracks of LAST NIGHT. Dominated by instrumentals, "Shot in the Back of the Head" is the most evocative of the bunch, seemingly pulled from an unreleased David Lynch film scored by the Afghan Whigs circa ...

$7.99 Full of strong songwriting and great harmonies, AUGUST WEST, the duo Steve Lowe & Meg Murray, and their CD "Bishop St." is an impressive first effort for a band who built their following in the bars of Annapolis MD and Baltimore's Fells Point. With the release of "CALLING ALL NATIONS", Animal Pharm further pushes the limits of their unique and mesmerizing sound. | | Gavin Conner Moving On To A New Disaster CD (2004)
Somewhere Between album
$12.69 debut solo album by Gavin Conner from Stafford, Virginia. In an industry torn between artistic credibility and commercial viability, Gavin Conner's music provides that rare sound that satisfies the demands of both criteria. On the one hand, he is steeped in the kind of thick, lush pop-rock melodies and indelible hooks that send the chills down the back of your neck; on the other, he finds a sardonic, self-deprecating, keenly-observant lyrical sensibility that proudly wears its heart on its sleeve. Forming the band Devon Green in 1995, this three piece rock trio grew together, proving that rock music is only as true as the artist that make it. "All we have ever wanted was to make music that is honest, yet fun to listen to. Like all real artist, at the end of the day that's all we want, to have songs we are proud of." says Gavin; and over the last six years he and Devon Green have done exactly that. Playing live shows throughout the East Coast Gavin Conner has also released his debut solo album "Moving On to A New Disaster" ...

| | Bob Newhart Faces Bob Newhart (Faces Bob Newhart) CD (1964)
Somewhere Between music CDs
$10.45 With his first television show officially under his belt, Bob Newhart was free to return to his first love--accounting! Thankfully, he chose to go back to his standup comedy career instead, and this is his first post-television release. That foray into TV provided him with some more raw material for his bits, including an amateur show and an extended look at commercials (and how he'd rewrite them if given the chance). The most manic bit here is "Nudist Camp Expose," which envisions reporters in a nudist camp and what happens when they try to get back home. One really nice break from his usual schtick is when he tells the story of the birth of his first child and the trip to the hospital--it's a touching look at the man himself, something ...
