Young Huss also know as "R.Franklin Hustle" was born Roy Franklin Brown Jr., in Bartlesville, OKlahoma. Huss started rapping as an eighth grader, beat boxing for friends in the neighborhood. Some of Huss' early influences were Big Daddy Kane, N.W.A., Run DMC, Kool "G" Rap, Scarface, and Geto Boys.After several run-ins with the police, Young Huss ended up incarcerated at the age of 19. Upon being released, Huss attended barber college and got his license to cut hair to stay out of trouble. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1996 to promote his Southern/Western type flow. In the late 90's he placed two songs on the Kut Shop Compilation (Kut Shop Records). In 2000, Young Huss Hooked up with the live music band, "The Ghost Team" and performed with them all across Los Angeles at such places as the Martini Lounge, The Gig, Club Tempest, Mr.T's Bowl in Pasadena, Gold Fingers, Luna Park, Lava Lounge in Long Beach, Dragon Fly and the Inglewood High Celebrity Basketball Game. That same year, Young Huss also performed on singles entitled "Why you all up in my s*@#?" and "Hard head soft azz" During the same time Young HUss was one half of another group called the Pre-Skrip-Shun, which completed an album that was never released.In late 2000 and to 2002 Huss joined the group N-Kroud Kliq and was one third of hte dynamic L.A. based trio which completed a ninteen song album called "Kroud Elation" and performed at Hollywood Park Casino, the world famous Key Club on Sunset, Monte Cristo, Fmosa Raceway in Northern California, Dragon Fly, Hollywood Athletic Club, Margarita Jones, The Good Bar, Club Atlas and other well known and underground L.A. hot spots. He also placed a single called "Black and Brown Pride" on the War Zone records compilation entitled "The Best From The West".In 2003, Young Huss returned to Oklahoma to pursuehis solo career. Hehas completed his solo debut, "Off Ya Azz and On Ya Feet" containing the club friendly single, "IF U Want 2". Since returning Huss has received several radio spins on 105.3FM and 101.5FM and is currently receiving numerous requests from the club scene to the streets. Huss has performed at several clubs and venues including THree Frogs Lounge, where in November 2003 he openend for platinum artisits the Ying Yang Twins and at Outlaw Ranch where he opened for another platinum artisit, Chingy, also Club Platinum Pluss, Uncle Bentley's and the Greenwood Cultural Center. At the close of 2003, Huss and his group N-Kroud Kliq recorded a song, "Riding, Rollin" which landed a spot in the motion picture "Scary Movie 3". Shortly after the release of the movie, the song landed a spot on the "Scary Movie 3" soundtrack.Huss' most recent stage performances include opening for platinum rap artist Lil'Scrappy at the Greenwood Cultural Center in Tulsa, OKlahoma. Since he has openend back to back perofrmances for LLoyd Banks of the platinum seeling group G-Unit on October 2nd and 3rd of 2004 in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was a great success!After leaving Los Angeles to promote his solo debut, Huss returns to L.A. 18 months later to continue his quest to be recognized as one of the Supreme Rap Artist the industry has seen.
