The recording features performances by some of the most celebrated entertainers from the worlds of Broadway, film, television, and cabaret including: Broadway's Rebecca Luker gives voice to 'Time' by Barry Kleinbort and Joseph Thalken from their musical 'WAS;' Euan Morton, of 'Taboo' fame; Karen Mason from 'Mamma Mia!;' and two time Tony nominee Penny Fuller all offer indelible versions of bittersweet romantic ballads. From the pop world, Baby Jane Dexter swings Gershwin; Billy Stritch interweaves Sondheim and Berlin; Kim Cea and Jerry Dixon make beautiful music together; Kane Alexander, who recorded on a rare visit from his native Australia; and Marcus Simeone, heats things up with 'Fair Enough. Jamie deRoy is a celebrated cabaret performer, actress, producer, and talk show host. Winner of eight MAC Awards, deRoy has been running her critically acclaimed variety show, Jamie deRoy & friends, for the past fifteen years. Her first CD, 'Jamie deRoy & friends: The Child in Me, Volume 1,' won the 2000 MAC Award: Recording of the Year. 'The Child in Me, Volume 2' was released in November 2000 with a fundraiser benefiting Variety: The Children's Charity. Mighty Quick A five-piece variety band based in Denver and Pueblo, Colorado. The band was formed by LeRoy Tafoya in Pueblo, Colorado in 1977 and continued through 1989.
