Pat Slatton and i wrote these songs over thirty years ago. Pat passed away in 2001. She was a very talented writer and singer. It's no wonder. She was one of fiddling Arthur Smith's thirteen children. He was an extremely popular fiddler on the grand old opra. A lot of his children played and sang with him on the opra, radio and show dates. His children are all talented musically. Arthur smith wrote "beautiful brown eyes" .. One of the most popular country songs of all time. He also had the most popular arrangement of "orange blossom special". I was lucky enough to meet him and have him Visit in my home. . And even luckier to be able to write with his talented daughter and to have her friendship and love. The songs in this album are our favorites of the many song we have written. We both were partial to hurting songs... But also wrote many fun songs and i love you happy songs. Jacilyn's album "coming home" includes five songs pat and i wrote. Other songs we wrote are scattered through Jacilyn's albums. You will hear three talented singers on "why did you walk away". . . Garry Johnson, Penny Avery and Andrea Morton. It was recorded , mixed, designed and duplicated at holston valley music .. Steve Patrick and all his talented musicians are responsible for the beautiful arrangements.Jacilyn music presents this album in loving memory of pat Slatton. Why Did You Walk Away album
$13.35 Daisy in her hair aside, Carrie Underwood looks flat-out glamorous on the cover of PLAY ON, which is a pretty fair indication of what awaits listeners on her third album. Carrie is still nominally a country artist and sometimes will sing supported by fiddles and steel guitar, but this is crossover pop pure and simple, whether it's the thundering rhythms on the Shania-styled strut "Cowboy Casanova" or the succession of maudlin melodies on the preponderance of power ballads. Carrie takes a much stronger presence as a writer here, co-authoring seven of the 13 songs, and she's attracted to hookless showstoppers designed to showcase her powerful voice. When she sticks to tunes written solely by the professionals, PLAY ON does have some slick pleasures, particularly on the breezy "Quitter" and "This Time," songs built on solid melodies and delivered without flash, relying on craft and Carrie's considerable small-town charm.

Why Did You Walk Away songs
$35.49 On this 2004 release, former Dischord frontman J. Robbins and his crew cut loose over "Fear Is Man's Best Friend," and "Disconnection Day," as well as the bonus tracks "See America Soon" and "Hug The Floor (Safety Is Job #1)."
For the better part of the '90s J. Robbins and Bill Barbot served as the dueling lead singer/guitarists for hyper-intellectual post-punk outfit Jawbox. That influential D.C. outfit rode the ups and downs of the industry, causing a stir in the underground when they left the revered ranks of Dischord for the corporate clutches of Atlantic. Folding after two exceptionally solid, if underexposed, major-label efforts, Robbins and Barbot resumed their tag-team approach in the less fierce but still mildly math rock-tinged Burning Airlines. Releasing only two albums, Burning Airlines retired their wings, leaving Barbot to concentrate on running DeSoto Records with his wife, former Jawbox bassist Kim Coletta. Robbins built a strong name for himself as a producer, working with ...

Why Did You Walk Away CD music
$8.39 Featuring three members of various New York groups (700 miles (RCA) & Feed), Punch Havana initially formed in late 1997 for a Pow Wow Records compilation appearance (Chris Robertson, Tom Clapp and Justin Guip). The partnership worked well so they decided to continue writing and recording, as well as playing sporadic shows (including showcases at CMJ and the Digital Club Festival). With the addition of bassist Jesko Stahl (Pearls of Swine (BMG)), the band was complete. Within weeks, they had recorded two new songs and performed at the Fall 1999 CMJ festival.Based on their performance at the CMJ showcase, the band was invited to Berlin by producer Moses Schneider (Pixies, David Byrne) to record their first album. After eleven days in the studio, the band returned to the States to overdub, mix, and ultimately complete The Hansa ...
