| | Israel Bien Loveslam! CD Israel Bien Discography of CDs
Evolving from an extensive history of touring, recording and writing diverse rock music, Israel and his partner, Jaf, have collaborated on this unique and pensive collection of memorable and profound modern, industrial and soulful tunes. With a strong desire to express their passion about making this world "a world worth living in," the songs reflect this passion in both the energy and the lyrical content. With a mellifluous fusion of hard-edged rock, techno, industrial and glam, this writing duo covers a well-blended introspective and outwardly creative spectrum of styles. This Israeli and Pakistani team combines their Jewish and Muslim heritages with an inspirational prospect for world peace. Israel Bien Loveslam! Songs | 1. | Face of Hate, The |

Purchase Loveslam! CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Toby Keith American Ride CD (2009)
Loveslam! album
$13.09 With most contemporary country artists, you could guarantee that a song called "American Ride" would be a slice of jingoism, but Toby Keith isn't like most country singers. His "American Ride" casts a cynical eye at desperate housewives and wannabe pop stars, not celebrating down-home values but wondering where we're all headed on this American Ride at the end of the 2000s, a sentiment not all that far removed from some of Keith's previous social commentary, which makes it a mild surprise that it is the only song here that doesn't come from his own pen. As superb and striking as it is, it's not necessarily a good keystone for the rest of the record, which does have a few tougher numbers that pick up on the lean, mean vibe of 2008's THAT DON'T MAKE ME A BAD GUY -- "Every Dog Has Its Day," the sly "If I Had One," and the heavy blues stomp "Loaded" -- but spends more time on the softer side, even when ...
| | Nile Those Whom The Gods Detest CD (2009)
Loveslam! CD music
$13.85 It's hard to not be impressed by the sheer sonic onslaught that is otherwise known as Nile. Except to the most hardened death metal fanatic, the genre has a way of sounding the same after a while, but Nile is one of the few exceptions -- able to put their own unmistakable fingerprints on this heavy duty style (Egyptian-influenced lyrics and musical bits, highly impressive instrumental dexterity, etc.). And on their sixth studio effort overall, 2009's Those Whom the Gods Detest, Nile has once again proven that they are ...

Loveslam! songs
$16.45 Dori Levine has been exploring the art of vocal improvisation and a "voice as an instrument approach to singing" for a couple of decades. She brings her vast improvisational palette to the rendering of Jazz standards as well as to her world of spontaneously improvised wordless vocal sounds. She has been heard in major New York venues and abroad such as the Blue Note, Birdland, the Knitting Factory and the Brighton festival in England. She also has a thriving teaching practice in New York City and is available for private lessons, master classes and workshops.Review in Cadence Magazine by Frank RubolinoIf sultriness were patentable, Levine would hold the patent. She vocalizes on a uniquely spontaneous program with pianist Levy with a moody, down-to-earth style that projects her voice as an improvising instrument in tandem with the piano. Yet she can also ooze out emotion as a torch singer, placing her in a dual attack role as a Jazz vocalist. Stoking the fire for Levine is Levy, who carries on a love ...
| | Randy Kaplan Lake Champions CD (1999)
Loveslam! album
$13.69 "Lake Champions" (1999) - This eclectic record has just about everything: torch songs, ballads, and tales; hope, love, and despair. The songs are performed in a subtle and easy manner, with Randy accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and harmonica only. In "Drunk As Can Be" a southern boozer tries to extricate himself from an addictive relationship. In "I Didn't Buy It", a sympathetic cad second-guesses himself and his dearly disposed. The narrator of "Gold" enjoys requited and true love while in "Robinson Crusoe" a man with a strong sense of entitlement tries to lay down the rules for a lopsided affair. In "Next To You" a woman makes her lover feel like Humbert Humbert and Jack the Ripper. A man visits the seedy bars of his old neighborhood in "Standard Time Chop" and, repulsed, is filled with domestic yearnings. In "G-d's song" a gentle, forthright, ...
