BIOGRAPHYRON MASONI was born in a little white weather boarded house on Leesville Road in Campbell County, Virginia on the seventeenth day of November 1943. I am a saw miller's son. I grew up in the country and I am proud to say that I like to think of myself as a country gentleman. I graduated from Brookville High School, and later earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree from the School of Business at Lynchburg College, in Lynchburg, Virginia. While at college I took music appreciation where I was exposed to the works of the classical masters such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and many others. This greatly enhanced my love and appreciation for music. I now enjoy listening to all types of music. However, I am of the opinion that for myself I enjoy listening to soft pleasing melodies with their many variations, as opposed to unmelodic ones we sometimes hear today.I was only seven years old when I first heard "Chet Atkins" play the guitar. Immediately I fell in love with the music and the guitar. I remember thinking to myself how could it be that only one man and one guitar could make the musical sounds of a whole orchestra? From that moment on I have sought to play and enjoy the "Chet Atkins" style of guitar. When I was about ten years old my uncle nicknamed me "Little Chet." I suppose it was because I was trying so hard to learn the style of play. My parents were going insane from hearing me practicing hour after hour day after day. It didn't take long for our whole community to learn what I was trying to do. Many thought it was hopeless and many times I thought so too. Over the years instead of trying to play songs of others, I have sought to create my own melodies and lyrics. Because of my earlier conditioning of attempting to play the "Atkins" style it's the only style I'm comfortable with today. The "Solitude Collection" CD is an assortment of melodies fostered out of personal depression, love and joy. It has been from such life experiences that I have been able to find inspiration to write lyrics and create melodies. I give GOD full credit for any and all talents that I may possess. I now make my home in Humble, Texas. I love Texas and the Texas People! There is nowhere on this earth that I would rather be than right here in Texas. To me there seems to be such a vibrant energy here like no other place I have ever known. I consider Texas to be my one and only home. Purchase Solitude Collection CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Carrie Underwood Play On CD (2009)
Solitude Collection album
$13.35 Daisy in her hair aside, Carrie Underwood looks flat-out glamorous on the cover of PLAY ON, which is a pretty fair indication of what awaits listeners on her third album. Carrie is still nominally a country artist and sometimes will sing supported by fiddles and steel guitar, but this is crossover pop pure and simple, whether it's the thundering rhythms on the Shania-styled strut "Cowboy Casanova" or the succession of maudlin melodies on the preponderance of power ballads. Carrie takes a much stronger presence as a writer here, co-authoring seven of the 13 songs, and she's attracted to hookless showstoppers designed to showcase her powerful voice. When she sticks to tunes written solely by the professionals, PLAY ON does have some slick pleasures, particularly on the breezy "Quitter" and "This Time," songs built on solid melodies and delivered without ...

Solitude Collection CD music
$12.09 THE ROSE HOTEL is Texas songwriter Robert Earle Keen's first studio album since 2005's WHAT I REALLY MEAN. Keen enlisted fellow Texan Lloyd Maines to produce him this time out and that was a solid decision. The material ranges from the title track which is one of his spun out story tunes that looks at a pair of lovers who can never quite connect as they think their meant to. Fueled by a shuffling rhythm, mandolins, Bukka Allen's accordion, and some electric guitars for support, the choruses are catchy, making for another ...

Their newest CD "‘Til It Storms", contains the upbeat energy of modern pop, alternative country, as well as the warmth and inspirational feel of traditional Christian music. The title song, "Til It Storms" explores the idea that nothing lives, nothing grows, ‘til it storms. "Startin' To Show" has a definite contemporary edge while it tells the story of a young girl's decision to place her baby for adoption. "Man For All Seasons" features Larry at his best telling the story of a husband and wife's love that never ends. "Rockin' Their Babies" is a bending and turning guitar/vocal blues song you'll want to hear again and again, and "Better Than I Thought" is just pure upbeat fun Larry and Marie Pearson are known for their memorable songwriting, performing, and distinctive vocal sound. In their live shows you'll find them on the keyboards, guitar, and mandolin. The Pearsons have ...
