Odds are you've already heard G TOM MAC. Certainly once... maybe twice. His seminal ode to nocturnal night "Cry Little Sister" (in which he wrote and performed the title track from Director Joel Schumacher visionary movie THE LOST BOYS) still reigns as a perennial cult classic favorite. Recently the remix of "Cry Little Sister" topped the UK charts.His amazing diversity in music and songwriting caught the ears of prominent artists. His songs have been recorded by such artists as KISS ("Is That You"); Ice Cube ("Money Can't Buy The Love") Roger Daltrey (produced and wrote the album "Rocks In The Head"); Carly Simon ("Give Me All Night"); Phoebe Snow/Michael McDonald ("Right To The End"); and Vonda Shepard ("Wake Up The House") and so many others. Not to mention Hollywood's keen taste for his songs featured in films such as CHASING AMY; THE BANGER SISTERS; THE PLAYERS CLUB; FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH; ALL THE RIGHT MOVES; BORN TO BE WILD and TERMINATOR. G' songs continue to be widely used in several TV series including CHARMED; THE SHEILD; WITCHBLADE; FELICITY, THE WEST WING; X FILES and DAWSON'S CREEK. He's also recorded several solo albums, the most recent being G TOM MAC for L.A.'s Edge Artists, and BLUE RUE for Arc/Columbia several years back. He's currently preparing WITCHBLADE-THE MUSIC, a compilation of music from the cable-show including his own tracks.Cry Little Sister remix is burning up the dance charts in Germany at this moment with a compilation of 13 remixes. Born in Birmingham, England, G TOM MAC (aka Gerard McMann) spent his early years there listening to the like of the Beatles and Stevie Wonder. "I was inspired by various pop and R&B artists." His family relocated to New York City when Gerard was 11 and soon moved to Middle America. "I started learning guitar and bass and realizing I had a voice. I started a band which played in clubs all over the Midwest." Moving back to New York his first gigs there were playing in R&B bands in Harlem. One thing led to another and Gerard was tapped to ask to write songs for other artists. Word spread and Warner Brothers brought him to LA to showcase for the label and possibly write music for films. SQUEAKY CLEAN'S NEW CD PROMOTES SPIRIT OF UNITY, HEALING AND RECONCILIATIONSince founding SQUEAKY CLEAN in 1983, Suzanne C. Smithline and Glenn Paul Manion have conceived a number of different missions for their band. At first they worked to preserve a stylistically pure and historically accurate form of rockabilly, as demonstrated on their debut record in 1984. Next they refashioned themselves as downtown hipsters COMBO LIMBO, gaining attention from college radio and the distinction of being cited as New York's "Best Unsigned Band" by the SKC/NY Music Awards. SQUEAKY CLEAN was then reborn with the mandate of teaching schoolchildren about the roots of rock and roll and the decades of the 1960s and 1970s by means of an innovative series of multimedia school assembly programs, reaching thousands of students every year since 1988.With their latest CD release "Pull Together" (DD 305), Suzanne and Glenn have taken on no less a challenge than overcoming the cultural rifts in America that resulted from the toxic rhetoric of recent years. "I feel the divisions in America are overhyped anyway," remarks Glenn. "Look at what matters most to people, and they'll all say the same things: a safe neighborhood to raise a family, a good education for their kids, staying healthy and even helping those who are less fortunate. Our core values are not all that different, despite what the commentators and politicians say."Suzanne and Glenn took their inspiration from a time when America was truly divided: the late 1960s and the early 1970s. Kurgan's Bane Biography LISA FRANCIS-VOCALS Realizing she could sing by the age of 5, she started performing as an amateur. Influenced by Alice Cooper, KISS, and other '70s hard rock bands, she started playing rock clubs by the age of 15. After performing professionally for over 10 years, she became sidetracked from music and earned a B.A. in Communications. Lisa returned to music in the summer of 1999. She currently helps out Sonus Umbra with some vocal duties. PETE LARAMEE-GUITAR Pete's been playing guitar for over 20 years. He played in a jazz band while in college, where he earned a B.S. in Communications. Influenced early by Van Halen, the Dregs, and all of the '80s guitar players, Pete returned to rock upon his graduation and played in several rock bands.
