R.D.P.RDP is an artist with a sound like no other!Coming of age in the 80's his first rap experience was in the early 90's in the form of Yo! MTV Raps and Run DMC via "Mary, Mary", "Walk This Way", "You Be Illin'" and theall-time classic, "My Adidas". It wasn't until he was embarrassed by a fellow classmate that he decided to pick up the pen and pad and start scrypting."I was a bookworm in elementary school but I was a popular kid," said RDP. He continues, "Whenever a new girl hit the school me and a couple of other guys would holla. One day, jealous I was getting the upper-hand, one of the guys decided to break me down in a freestyle rap. I was destroyed! The power he possessed over my mental state wasunbelievable - especially for an 11-years-old. That was the first and the last time I would be destroyed."The following day, after scypting and rehearsing all night, RDP returned the favor - completely demolishing his adversary! Since that time, RDP has worked hard at perfecting his craft - listening to all styles of artists, developing vibes for all genres of music and never straying away from a cypher or competition. He believes competition strengthens both a person's skill sets and drive for excellence - especially in a loss.'DA LONE GUNMAN' is RDP's first break into the mainstream. It features the fiery and highly melodic production of Neo of I.M.P.E.R.I.U.M. and RDP's grimy and bass-filledWest Coast/Southern-style production. And while the track title and the parental advisory warning may put it in the class of "gansta rap", 'DA LONE GUNMAN' is definitely notyour run of the mill CD. 'Murdah She Wrote' and title-track 'Da Lone Gunman' showcases Neo's production and RDP's lyrical forte', while "Firewater', 'Da Stalker Man', 'Switchez (On A Lo)' and the blazin' hot track, 'New Day Walker', showcases RDP's production savvy in conjunction with rounding out his lyrical arsenal - And he has yet to begin to reach his true potential!'DA LONE GUNMAN' is sure to keep heads nodding and bodies in motion! For booking and information, contact:RDP (A. Da Lone Gunman
$11.49 In pre-release interviews, Royce da 5'9" laid out a perfect description of his style: a Detroit kid brought up on Nas whose head was sent spinning once Eminem came around. Three years in the making--twelve months in prison for a DUI being part of the problem--STREET HOP often has a solid foundation that's absolutely classic in feel but also features those quirky, sick-o rhymes that are distinctly post-Shady. "I mix a between Chris Brown and Chris Jericho/Where's your daughter?" ...

| | Ray Charles Genius Loves Company CD (2004) Digipak; Enhanced CD
Da Lone Gunman
$10.45 Though Ray Charles, one of the greatest singers of the 20th century, was never in need of vocal assistance, he was no stranger to duets either (one of his finest records is a duet album with Betty Carter). For as much of a musical giant as he was, Brother Ray knew how to share the spotlight, as evidenced by GENIUS LOVES COMPANY, his final project before his 2004 passing. In keeping with the eclectic nature of Charles's artistry, he partners with a wide assortment of performers here.
Charles is joined by Elton John on a soulful exploration of the latter's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word," and sidles up next to Willie Nelson for a haunting version of the Frank Sinatra hit "It Was a Very Good Year," made all the more poignant in retrospect by its posthumous nature. Of course, it's not all bittersweet melancholy; ...

| | Nicknack Broken CD (2006)
Da Lone Gunman
$14.79 From vinyl manipulation on the turntables, to current production of jazz infused hiphop tracks, Crowd Control Records CEO, NickNack is a true soundcraftsman. His musical journey began in the late 80's after making the transition from hiphop spectator to participant. Cutting his teeth from the very beginning as a young appreciative turntablist knocking off rivals at Dallas' Sound Wars battles in the mid-nineties, Nick has worked hard to encompass a broad vision of ability, and a verbose sense of instrumentality, to match his already fruitful passion for music.More than just matching beats, hiphop, offered a sense of belonging, a foundation of culture that went far beyond the battles in his hometown of Dallas, TX. So when Nick packed up his tables for college life, he strove to unite the Austin hiphop community through 5 years of tireless effort at KVRX's "Bside Mixshow." He also co-founded HipHop Mecca in a very successful attempt to put Austin on the map by hosting and deejaying shows with the likes of Hieroglyphics, Organized Konfusion and icons Gangstarr, but more importantly set up a solid media network that extended far beyond university press into the realm of community activism.Nick found his niche within the music industry via radio and live shows by 1997. He had solidified his name and reputation as a pillar of the burgeoning Austin hiphop scene. It was time for this young man to begin to grow beyond his current boundaries. Reaching the peak of his career as a battle deejay, Nick placed fourth at the DMC Southwest Regionals in 1998. That same year Nick teamed up with Prince Poetry of Organized Konfusion and released the classic underground 12inch "Long Distance", which features native Texan emcee QB.The success of "Long Distance" inspired Nick to focus attention on his own productions and in the summer of 1998, he released "In the Nick of Time". This release introduced the world to Nick's unique mixture of turntablism and cinematic melodies. It also signified the first major release on Crowd Control Records. In 2000 Nick added to the Crowd Control Records catalog with the Soundscape "Listeners" 12-inch, which sold more than 1,000 copies and had more than 10 million copies distributed in mp3 format. It marked the beginning of his journey as an artist and record label owner. He went on to reinvent people's perception of the southern sound with the collaborative 26 self-produced all-Texas album, entitled simply "RE:Construction."With his newfound success as an artist, Nick was poised for his next musical expansion. In the summer of ...

A small excerpt - "There's more to this record than brilliant lyrics and sonic experiments. Arant has crafted a fantastic mixture of alt country and drama."The reviews are in and I'm in Dutch! Or, at least two of the reviews are, as far as I can tell.'To Whom it May Behoove' is one of the most beautifully crafted, uncontrived, genuinely affecting collections of songs I have ever heard...If there's a better song about the inevitability of a doomed relationship than 'I Had ...

Raised in the quiet hills of Chester County outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kabir is a songwriter who sees life as an opportunity to tell a story. From an early age, he was keenly aware of the thread that connects blues, rock and country, and the soulfulness and spirituality of American roots music. He was instilled with a love for music that arises ...
