| | Brad Paisley American Saturday Night CD (2009)
After The Rain
$10.95 Audio Remasterer: Hank Williams. An American saturday night is not an unusual topic for a country song but Brad Paisley's celebration is. Paisley sees a typical weekend night as a cultural collision of French kisses, Italian Ices, Canadian bacon and margaritas, a place where Mexican and Dutch beers chill side by side in a bucket of ice. If he leans too heavily on labels, referring to those beers by brand name, it's merely a reflection of Paisley's uncanny knack for capturing the casual contemporary details of American life at the tail end of the 2000s. It's not just the pile up of iPhones and international video chats on "Welcome to the Future," the first country anthem of the Obama era, it's how he'll pick up prescription for his girl and flips macho stereotypes on their head on "The Pants." He's a thoroughly modern man and that attitude helps invigorate ...

| | Sorrells Pickard MMM It's Mighty Good CD (2005)
After The Rain
$18.99 In the late 1950s and early 1960s Sorrells Pickard was known as Jimmy Bazzell and the Mardells, Jacksonville, Floridaâs first live Rock & Roll band. Little did Sorrells know that while honing his craft at the to-become-famous Forest Inn, where he was mixing traditional country music with the new sound of Rock & Roll, Sorrells was paving the way for all of Jacksonvilleâs future Southern Rock pioneers, including Lynyrd Skynyrd. Have a listen to Sorrellsâ original version of â$15 Drawâ on his 1972 MCA album (Decca DL 7-5338).During the 1960s and early â70s, Sorrells was known as part of Nashvilleâs new breeds, future Country Music Legends like Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. As a songwriter, Sorrells had more than 80 of his compositions recorded by many varied artists including Ringo Starr, Slim Whitman, Kitty Wells, Roy Clark, David Rogers, Melba Montgomery, Del Reeves, Billy âCrashâ Craddock, Tommy Cash, and many others.Sorrells Pickard toured every city in every state of the United States, and every province in Canada, playing bass with Tex Ritter, David Alan Coe, Del Reeves and Bennie Martin, to name a few.Shortly after his 1972 solo album was released, Sorrells was sent to the county jail on a trumped-up charge of pot possession. Listen to â11 29â, the song is a true story. On the day of his 40th birthday, after an acting role in the 1975 film âWW And The Dixie Dance Kingsâ, starring Burt Reynolds, Sorrells decided to move to Los Angeles to become a full-time actor. He became known worldwide by millions of moviegoers as the âHardbodiesâ man, the guy with the joints in the hat, the guy with his guitar and the girl on the cliff. He also had roles in Ăltravioletâ with Esai Morales, and âLucky 13â ...
| | Mike Siener Coming Soon CD (2006)
After The Rain
$10.09 George Michael Siener âMikeâ developed his musical interests early in life and began playing in garage bands, before he was old enough to drive, mainly lead guitar. He took on the challenge to play lead because no one in the band wanted to. The lead mostly consisted of leads in âSecret Agent manâ, a two string leads. As his musical career advanced, his bands played on the weekends in Chattanooga, Tennessee and the cities nearby. In Dalton - the church pulled the plug on the group âliterallyâ because he played to loud and in Cartersville his claim to fame was that he taught the entire town to do the âBoogie.â One day, in Elijay Georgia, Mike recalls, a huge mountain man approached the stage and said âThatâs pretty good music, although I have not heard it before.â He startled us because he was big and gruff looking. He looked like he could have taken us all on with one hand tied behind his back. The band was ...
