Award winning film & TV composer Chris Anderson has had successes in every arena of his composing career. His 30+ film scores range from full orchestral scores to roots & swing to avant jazz and pop. Equally at home with an orchestra, a funk band or a Javanese Gamelan, Anderson is a proven musical chameleon. TRIPPIN' THE ASS FANTASTIC brings Anderson's writing and arranging skills to full bore in the funk/jazz arena. Meticulously crafted, Anderson plays Ringmaster to a carnival of musicians, including Tower of Power veteran horn players Lee Thornburg and Dave 'Woody' Woodford, as well as Wallflowers Dobro & Lap Steel player Ben Peeler. Dobro & Lap Steel may seem unlikely instruments on a funk record, but this is no ordinary funk record- this is WHITEY'S CARNIVAL OF FUNK. Jana Pendragon of Music Conection says 'Anderson displays the sort of musical substance you'd likley find in Basie, Goodman, Ellington or Wills' Trippin' The Ass Fantastic Music | Category | R&B Albums, Funk CDs | | Label | Workshirt Music | | Orig Year | 2002 | | CD Universe Part number | 7141472 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Mar 08, 2002 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Recording Time | 38 minutes |

Trippin' The Ass Fantastic songs
$16.45 TBMA (The Black Medicine Artist) was born in 1979 in Sandusky Ohio, lived there until the age of 22. At 17 he started spittin basic lil raps on generic beats made on his keyboard and sent them out to kids on the internet. At age 19 he joined the rapcore group "MOKO", which included his brother Tyson (who played guitar). Playing shows all over the Cleveland Ohio area (and one show in Indiana) they built a fan base all over the Ohio area. MOKO was known for the most violent local shows around. MOKO began to do bigger shows opening up for MushroomHead four different times. TBMA loved the MOKO scene but wanted to do more sick rap so him and Enmity from [Toxsick] formed Mass Kunfusion (which was pretty tight besides the stolen beats and the fisher price ...

Trippin' The Ass Fantastic album
$10.15 R•DE was born in Athens, Greece with the legal name of Yohnni R. Perry, which is translated Johnny R. Perry. Son of an American military man, R•DE and his family travelled frequently and lived in many countries. With a loving Canadian mother our artist was raised in a very multi-cultural surrounding. Having such a diverse childhood we believe created that spark of musical genius only the influence of various artists and musical experiences can create.Having a father with a stake in the musical industry and a devoted mother R•DE started music and dance at the age of three. By the age of five he was being professionally taught by a vocal and numerous musical instrument teachers. This continued until the age of nine when his parents got divorced and his father took residence in California, USA and his mother moved to Minnesota, USA. Our artist then began to commute between parents and places all the time expanding his ability for music, as he played continuously in the two different venues. This expansion process continued as R•DE moved to Michigan to live with his grandmother. At the age of ten R•DE was now the youngest member of his grandmother's church band as a drummer. This was a huge inspiration ...

Trippin' The Ass Fantastic music CDs
$9.35 TRIPTYCH MUSIC GROUP was established October 2003. The group consists of D-Real, Khadijo, and Synasta. The early beginnings of the group happened by chance. D-Real and Khadijo were next door neighbors in Raleigh, NC. One afternoon D-Real overheard Khadijo playing what sounded like a piano, and also heard music along with it. So, D-Real decided to ask his neighbor, was it him working on the music? D-Real invited Khadijo to come check out his home studio because he had artists coming over to listen to his tracks and record. Khadijo soon found himself spending many afternoons and nights over at D's place, conversing, editing, playing and arranging music with D-Real and his artists. Synasta was already a long-time friend of D-Real so it was only natural to introduce himself to Khadijo, and the musical birth happened. The very first project the group worked on was producing hip-hop music for a local rap group. They immediately branched out to produce R&B music for a singer. That was essentially the proving ground of producing music for people. Unfortunately, the group separated about a year or two, but came back together, after the release of Khadijos acid jazz AFTER ALL THIS TIME... When we decided to regroup it was like we never really lost touch at all, says Khadijo. D-Real sent me tracks over the net, I worked on them trying to establish a groove and there it was. Then quickly, Synasta sent beats, and before we realized it 6 tracks were complete and ready for public listening in a matter of days. The six tracks are a combination of a burning fires for serious music, hence the title SOUND TRIANGLE.WELL GROWN is an intricate dialogue of strings, and soundscapes perfect for that up-tempo ambient mood. TRIPPIN TRIPTYCH is based on a story of a guitarist stuck out in the desert trying to get to a party that hes imagining. NIGHT AIR is a beautiful ...

Yesterday it seemed like it was so far away, but now it's closer then we realize. Soon it will demand our attention...entirely. Remember, if you will...the days leading up to 2000. The media frenzy. It was the new millennium. "I'm gonna party like it's 1999" sang somebody who used ...
