| | Danny Vasquez Life Outside Of Chino CD Danny Vasquez Discography of CDs
"Sad and beautiful, melancholy yet uplifting", these are just a few words to describe the music created by Black Lung Serenade. Black Lung Serenade's (aka Danny Vasquez) vocal delivery, at times, is reminiscent of the great Gram Parsons. However, his voice is all his own. Much like Ryan Adams, Elliott Smith and Jason Falkner, his insightful lyrics explore the deeper aspects of love, life and meaning. And his music is a poetic combination of country, folk rock and the sonic experimentation of ground breaking artists like Sonic Youth and Wilco. Either playing with a band or performing solo Danny's live shows are introspective and compelling. Hear him play, see him live and join the many others who agree, Black Lung Serenade is one of indie music's best kept secrets who will soon be widely known. | | Sammy Kershaw I Want My Money Back CD (2003)
Life Outside Of Chino songs
$9.09 After about a decade, Sammy Kershaw parted ways with Mercury Nashville after his 1999 album Maybe Not Tonight, resurfacing four years later on Audium/Koch with I Want My Money Back. A switch to an independent at this stage of the game pretty much takes Kershaw out of the running for the charts, but he thanks God in the liner notes "for giving me another chance to do what I love to do so much," so chances are, his eyes aren't on the charts anyway. Kershaw also calls it the best album he's done to date, and he very well might be right, because I Want My Money Back boasts a strong set of songs and performances that make it one of his most satisfying efforts. Part of the reason that this works is the fact that he isn't concerned about hits -- there are no Leo Sayer covers, in other words -- and with producer ...
| | Victor Wheeler It's A Great Life CD (2002)
Life Outside Of Chino album
$15.19 Guitarist, singer, songwriter, Vic Wheeler began his career playing rock music at honky-tonks and bars in the foothills of western North Carolina. There he honed his skills emulating Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, Lesley West and others. In his early twenties he fell in love with the work of such guitar giants as Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Scott Henderson, Steve Lukather and other primarily west coast players. Longing to expand as a musician, he loaded guitar and amp into his corolla and headed for Los Angeles where he studied at the Guitar Institute and went to see and hear many of his idols. After G.I.T., Vic began working full-time as a singer and guitarist with "L.A. Music Co.", a Los Angeles based show band that traveled and performed in the Western U.S. and Canada. His wife Kathy, who had been finishing college, joined him in Spokane. At that point she was the band secretary but would later begin singing with Vic. He played cities such as Reno, Portland, Denver, Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, and Vancouver, doing everything from rock, to funk, R& B and jazz dinner sets. His singing grew stronger and he became a featured vocalist in the group. He also began writing and learned to read and arrange professional charts. In '82,Vic returned to the Carolinas and along with Kathy, formed a group called "Rain". They toured the Southeastern U.S. playing high-energy Rock, Top-40, Funk and even some Country music. They played six nights per week every week for over five years in cities such as Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Savannah, Jacksonville, Orlando, Little Rock, etc. They did several videos with their management company, T. Skorman Productions in Orlando. But in November of 1986, Vic met a Christian vocal coach named Sonny, though they spoke for only a brief time and have never met since, Sonny's words had a profound effect on Vic's life. His life would never be the same. He began making plans to leave the band and began writing gospel songs, some of which are on his CD. Prior to leaving, Vic also directed and edited a 45 minute live concert video ...

Life Outside Of Chino CD music
$15.19 The press has dubbed him "the human jukebox". He calls himself a “reluctant tenor.” He claims he knows over a thousand "cover" songs. But, that's not the only thing he knows. A consummate showman, Steve Stefanowicz knows how to delight audiences with his unique blend of acoustic guitar, rich vocals and sharp wit. Steve has been blind since birth. He began playing the guitar at age four, when his father would tune the guitar to a chord, hold Steve on his lap, and sing along while Steve strummed the guitar. At age twelve, Steve became seriously interested in studying the guitar, and began taking lessons. He went on to study classical and jazz at Central Washington University. Originally, Steve gained notoriety as lead guitarist for his 1980s Tacoma band, Blind Ambition. In 1984, while playing with “Malice”, the lead vocalist failed to show up for a gig, and Steve’s vocal talents were called upon. He became aware that he enjoyed singing nearly as much as playing guitar, and picked up the acoustic for a stint on “the Steve and Ron show” at Wilson High School. During college, Steve formed a classic rock cover band called “Rock Slide,” with bassist, Tony Cooper. Upon returning from college, he put together “Smilin’ Jack,” who enjoyed regional success throughout the West Coast in the early 1990s. Since their breakup, Steve has focused on his solo career as a singer/songwriter, but does enjoy performing with the band when the opportunity arises. His performances feature both original music and “cover tunes” that keep the crowd singing along. With a wide range of influences, including James Taylor, Warren Haynes, Bonnie Raitt and Black Sabbath, Steve brings a broad menu of musical choices to his fans. Steve organized local favorites Blind Ambition, Rock Slide, Big Love, and the Steve Stefanowicz ...
