WestHaven consist of two childhood homies, Kell and Code. They have a positive brand of rap with an edge to it. Hailing from Los Angeles and Van Nuys, they make songs that make you think the same time as your clapping. They don't concentrate on the material things in life, just the things that matter. They make music that the hardest thugs in the world would like but also something the babies can listen too.WestHaven's KellMarkell Turner Jr.(Kell) was born on September 16th, 1984 in Los Angeles, California. At age 11, Kell moved to Van Nuys, California where he met Code in Sixth Grade. Once Kell graduated high school, he wasnt sure with what he wanted to do with his life. Kell started to rhyme at age 18 along with Code. At first, Kell was just rapping to have fun but then discovered that he and Code had a chance to make a career out of it. With a lot of practice and a lot of effort, began to turn heads with his flow and with what he was saying. He feels he can help contribute a more positive outlook on hip-hop and show fans and other up and coming artist that you don't have to portray an image, its ok to just be yourself.WestHaven's CODEChristopher D. Greer (Code) was born December 27th, 1983 in Pacoima, California. After Code graduated from high school, he soon discovered that he had a knack for rhyming. Code started recording at a studio with his brother and cousin, then by himself, then after a while he would go with child hood friend Markell. Like his partner Kell, Code chooses to rap about subjects that people can relate to and he is experiencing himself. A year after numerous sessions with Markell, Code decided to take rapping more seriously and he and Markell formed the rap duo, WESTHAVEN and signed to Mocha Music. This album was a labor of love for three years, one year of song crafting and two years of production. I loved working in the studio and with the help of Ad Astra and some great musicians, we created what I think are some really interesting sonic pieces.
