Denver, CO based group Situation was formed in March of 1997, and within five months were asked to perform at Tomfest sharing the main stage with Joy Electric and The Echoing Green for a crowd of over 2000 people. Â In 1998, the band recorded their first two songs, which were chosen by Tooth & Nail Records to be included on a compilation CD and went on to receive rave reviews. Â The band has continued to sharpen its live shows by performing the past three summers on the Extreme Tour, playing clubs, churches, festivals, and other events totaling 500 shows in all. Situation is Bill Fort (vocals), Misty Fort (vocals), and Noah Sogolow (keyboards) and they describe their sound as electro/synthpop/new wave. The band says, "our songs speak of hope and turning mourning into dancing! We write songs from the heart and spirit and we believe the word of God when it says, 'out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks'. This is so true of these songs." "A New Wave of Joy" is a collection of high energy, danceable tracks produced in part by Joey Belville (Echoing Green) and Quinton Gibson (Strange Celebrity, Plumb, Nate Sallie). | | Sharron Kay King One Step At A Time CD (2004)
New Wave Of Joy music CDs
$17.09 BMG artist Sharron Kay King is currently seeing her first ever Top 80 song. "My Best Friend," Sharron Kay's current single from her CD One Step At A Time, came in at number 78 on the Singing News Chart for June. This song is from Sharron Kay's own pen - and her heart."Working in the studio with Sharron Kay was such a blessing," said Butler Music Group president Les Butler. "She has such a sweet spirit, and it comes through in every song she sings."To learn more about Sharron Kay King and her ministry, log on to http:// songsofsharron . You can also find more information about Sharron and other BMG artists at http:// butlermusicgroup .-----------Producer: Les Butler Label: Butler Music Group Website: songsofsharron For those unfamiliar with her music, Sharron Kay King is a cross between Barbara Fairchild and Jessica King (hmm...any relation?), but she leans more so to Barbara Fairchild; so much so, that I can hear Fairchild singing any one of these songs. Sharron has an unassuming style and a very down-home, country sound. Not over the top at all, but rather she has a very pure quality, and I hope she never loses that. Most of this recording would fall more into the country/acoustical realm, than bluegrass, though there are some "grassy" connotations throughout and some of the songs could even fall into the "new grass" stylings as well. The recording starts with a chorus of "MY BEST FRIEND" done acapella (which is done in full with music later in the recording) and leads right into the title song, "ONE STEP AT A TIME". Reviving a classic Daryl Williams penned tune from almost 20 years ago, "TWO MORE HANDS" is one of best songs on this recording and Sharron renders an excellent performance before moving on to a couple of time honored favorites, "BEYOND THE SUNSET" and a spirited rendition of, "LOOK WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE FOR ME". (Love the organ on this song!) A nice fiddle intro starts off a wonderful prayer in song entitled, "SAFE WITH YOU AT HOME ". The following song, "NOT MY WILL", is an excellent song speaking of our total reliance upon the Lord and that it is His will and not our own that we should seek out and follow. The pace picks back up for the uniquely self penned song, "THE FORECAST", which has a bit of an old time rock-n-roll sound to it, while "SMALL PIECE OF CLAY" slows things down a bit and is more akin to the style that fits Sharron best. "HE CALLED ME" offers a more Southern Gospel feel to it, but doesn't stray too far from the country feel that works so well for Sharron. The highly infectious bluegrass tinged "CHIN UP, JOURNEY ON" is an uptempo song offering encouragement to pick up and carry on. Closing out the recording is a wonderful duet ...

| | Rudy Ising Motivational Creativity CD (2003)
New Wave Of Joy album
$15.19 Motivational Creativity by Rudy Ising consists of two background soundtracks intended to inspire children of all ages. Playtime sets a tone of creative playfulness; while Rest sets the mood for quiet thoughts. This CD is a calming and delightful soundtrack for all.Packaged in a 4-page gatefold cover with inner sleeve, reminiscent of the artistic covers of older LP's, this CD is both a pleasure for the eyes as well as the ears. RECORDING/MASTERING DETAILS:All of the recordings were produced by the artist, and recorded in a variety of environments. Some were recorded at home, some at his professional studio, Rising Star Recording. Many of the early works were recorded direct to stereo tape, or to four track. In the 1980's and 1990's, Rising Star Recording was a 16 track facility, with full complement of outboard effects, as well as a combination of both live room and isolation booths. Along with this were many MIDI instruments, which were used in these recordings. Final mixes were most commonly digital (DAT) though some were mixed to half-track analog. Because of the variance in recording methods and environments, care has been taken during the remastering process to assure the best quality sound without sacrificing any of the musical elements. As a result, you may encounter some small noise or distortion in some of the recordings, which to remove would have degraded the musical output. BIO:At the age of four, Rudy Ising would often sit at the family piano and imitate classical recordings. Typically, these were impressionist works, and had descriptive titles. Sadly, no recordings exist of these early improvisations. However, his interest in creative work remains to this day. He has written numerous poems and prose works, in addition to the many musical works now in his catalog. His father was one of the pioneers of commercial animated cartoons; his mother was once under contract to RKO. His grandmother painted. It is no surprise, then, that Rudy Ising would have interests in the creative arts. Growing up, Rudy Ising played piano at home, concentrating on improvised works instead of lessons or classical works. When he was about 14, he began to write prose and poetry, and also showed interest and skill in artwork. During high school, he also taught himself ...
