The Meadows are Todd Herfindal and Kevin Houlihan. Introduced years ago in San Francisco by future X- Girlfriends, the two have been making music together ever since. Todd grew up representing the West Coast under the beautiful Northern California sun. Kevin was asked to leave the East Coast after many happy and youthful years. Now living in Los Angeles, they have locked themselves away in various recording studios between the fall of 2004 and summer of 2005. Emerging pale and extremely light sensitive with their self titled debut album "THE MEADOWS". It is, without question, the most unanticipated rock album of 2005. Nobody knew it was coming, and no one knows where it will go. Todd and Kevin both share lead vocal responsibilities. Using the tried and true foundation of drums, bass and guitars, The Meadows built upon the sound with strings, vocal harmonies, organ, violin, viola and noise to create an album that is expansive and cinematic. In fact, the fourth track from the album, "Younger Yesterday", is featured in the Fox/New Regency film Little Manhattan, released in theaters late 2005 and on DVD April 4th, 2006. Its a good start for The Meadows indeed. Todd Herfindal is formerly of the San Francisco alt/rock band Blue Sky Roadster and Los Angeles-based pop/rock band Single. Both bands enjoyed regional success and college/commercial radio play. Kevin Houlihan is formerly of the New Jersey-based band The Fundamentals (MCA), Plastic Machine, and the founder of Los Angeles band Moontower. News Flash:The album is up on iTunes, Emusic, Napster, Rhapsody and most of the other premium digital download stores! Meadows music CDs
$16.49 The story behind the making of this CD started in Junction City KS in 1983. After receiving free studio time courtesy of winning the KJCKFM "Rock To The Top" contest. Track# 6 "Your Disguise" was first recorded in Salina KS in 1983, as an attempt to write a commercial hit.Donald Dean then decided to go ahead and "try for the Big Time" and move to LA California in 1985 (Donald was due to stay at his aunts house in LA ,but she died during his drive to California, leaving him with no place to stay , with little money, but that is another story!)."Your Disguise" was the original showcase opener and was re-recorded in 1987. This song was left unfinished till 1995 and was "dusted off" and finished for inclusion on this CD.In 1985 the first band Donald Dean got together in LA included on keyboards Jay Roewe, who at the time was a producer of rock videos for many major act such as: Journey, Kansas, Poison, Bon Jovi.etc. Donald Dean worked with Jay on a couple of videos including "Livin on a prayer "by Bon Jovi" ( Donald Dean was on the other side of the cable for Jon Bon Jovi's flying over the crowd sequence, as well as having his hands clicking the time counter in the video). The bands' live shows included showcasing at "The Troubadour" as well as playing a wild Halloween party for "The Company" (Jays'. video company) with many actors and Rock stars in attendance including Tommy Lee, Heather Locklear, Bob Seger, and including an all star jam with Vince Neil and Donald Dean on vocals and guitar, Jimmy Bain ( from Rainbow/Dio) Greg Guiffria (from Angel,Guiffria and House of Lords ) on Keyboards as well as he drummer from the LA band "Rough Cut" and later "Jailhouse". Richard Klotz was the bass player in the first band. His "day gig" at the time was being the location manager for Cagney and Lacey. $19.99 Sweden/New York based band Anders Nilsson's AORTA's second cd "Janus" offers further inspired riffage, hard-core blowing, imaginative writing, and edge-of-their-seats improvisations, all handled with great interaction and dynamics. While in part focusing on electric sounds, the band's scorched voice is delicately balanced by tender moments of purity. As the title Janus indicates this disc is many-faced and full of wonderful contradictions. It includes several viewpoints and approaches to the band's playing their heart out. All this packaged in cool cover art!Anders Nilsson - guitars, organMattias Carlson - saxes, flute-with and without effetcsDavid Carlsson - electric bass, korg polysixPeter Nilsson - drums, percussionReviews:ANDERS NILSSON'S AORTA - Janus (Kopascetic 008/Sweden) This is the second colossal post/fusion/progressive ...
| | Imperial Orgy Sexual Revolution Is Not Over CD (2003)
Meadows music CDs
$13.95 Press Quotes: I have never seen anything like it! I was truly blown away. Caesar was a snarling, predatory beast-like man, venturing out onto the dance floor and enticing women to take a bite of his apple and writhe around with him. His persona was pure sexual confidence. The stage was his and the man was drawing out the crowd's sexuality almost beyond their control. At one point the stage was covered in bodies gyrating to the music, falling over each other and Caesar was in the middle of it all, a sinister smile playing around the corner of his lips. This was the magic man. -Bully Mag...unnamed callers threatened to riot at the bar if the performance was not canceled. -The Lewistown SentinalCaeser Pink easily seduces everyone in the audience with his animalistic stage presence. Pink is a little more than just hypnotizing...he's the new rock icon for the millennium and most definitely ahead of his time. -Dig This Real MagazineArt music at it's best, leaves you with a spiritual and sexual tingle.-Musician's ExchangeA most original, original band. Newsprint doesn't do them justice. Looking sort of like an English cousin of Leonardo DiCaprio, Caeser Pink and his crew takes their mission to have a blast very seriously. Their pop-funk songs keeps fans dancing while giving them brain nourishment in the form of serious lyrical themes mouthed by the confident lounge singer cool of Caeser. -The Bronx TimesThe Imperial Orgy is a creative feast. Lead vocalist Caeser Pink exudes an air of self-assurance and sex appeal reminiscent of John Travolta's character in Grease. Their music embodies a free spirit that infects everyone in the audience. ...
