| | Ricky Guinto Intuition CD Ricky Guinto Discography of CDs
Ricky Guinto may be a fresh faced solo artist, but he is definitely not new to the music scene. The songwriter and musician started his melodic journey at age 5 with the piano. Through the years he picked up both drum sticks and the guitar. As Ricky's knowledge of music grew so did his passion. This jack-of-all-trades used his passion to become a seasoned professional, releasing three CD's with the band he played guitar for, World Tribe. While gaining notoriety with several bands such as World Tribe, Kanaka Roots, South Side Hero, and I'kona, Ricky recorded a collection of his own compositions. "Intuition" was the result. Recorded in the Winter of 2002, "Intuition" is his first solo CD. Inspired by his own experiences and those of others, it holds a special place in his heart. "I got the CD title for 'Intuition' from having good feelings & senses and using good judgment while going through the journey of life," Ricky said. The album's pop/acoustic style has strong ties with Ricky's influences; Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, The Samples, and John Mellencamp. In true Mellencamp form Ricky uses his music to discuss hometown issues. "Down My Road" describes a Southern California town ravaged and destroyed by over development. "It started from nothing, now it's all torn apart. I'm looking for something that will take me back to the start....Driving up and down across the hill, watching people grow old. The fatherlands' great in demand, now all the houses are sold." Other songs on the record include "Via Senorita", "Nothing More" and "Tonight." "Tonight," a timely song based on the struggle of divorce, is a hard-hitting look at the emotions of a man and woman and the collapse of their marriage. Songs like "Here for me now" and "Rises and Pitfalls" give the record a warm acoustic vibe. With a range of love song ballads, anti-war themes, to environmental protection tunes, "Intuition" makes for soothing listening. At the beach or at home, Ricky's CD "Intuition" is a relaxing and inspirational addition to all music lovers' collections. -Jennifer L. The Plot: Sparkle Island, a community of billionaire supermodels who use "cosmetic genetics" to eliminate flaws in their appearance, celebrate Tickle Festivals to relish the euphoria of hysterical laughter and thrill their pets by taking them bungee jumping. The unattractive in this world fight for the leftover crumbs of opportunity, as beauty rules over talent. Paradise is thrown into a blender when fanged beasts of plush mysteriously invade to chow down on the gorgeous elite, leaving the less-attractive labor force untouched. Police cruise town in their limousines for clues while an ambitious military (led by a Commander armed with lethal PEZ dispensers) moves in to wrestle control of the island's valuable real estate. But it's the town princess and homely accordion virtuoso who must learn the origin of Sparkle Island's hungry guests before they destroy their peaceful existence. The Teddy Bear Murders screenplay was a semi-finalist in the 2001 Chesterfield/Writer's Film Project (a program based at Paramount Pictures that originated at Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment) and advanced to the second round of The Austin ...
| | Donuts Sgt. Jack's Pepper Mill CD (2004)
Intuition CD music
$14.79 Much like their culinary namesake, the Donuts embrace and, at times, contrast the notion that they are nothing more than musical empty calories. You can't resist them even though you know that they are bad for you. When it's all over, you will be disgusted with yourself for having succumb to the fleeting pleasures that they provided. The Donuts consist of dime-store musical savant J. Bearclaw, drunken stumblebum Johnny Taint, the enigmatic Peter Extravaganza and an impeccably coifed UFO/Hot Chocolate devotee simply named Fathead ("One name, just like Cher!" enthuses Fathead). The plan to form the 'Nuts was hatched when Bearclaw, Taint, and Fathead attended an AC/DC concert in the spring of 2001. In an epiphany similar to the ...

| | Rewind Just The Tip CD (2008)
Intuition album
$12.69 Straight out of the evergreen sate, comes the “Rocking Groove Hop” sound of REWIND. In a state known mostly for rock, Punk, and a like. Rewind brings a little soul, changing drums, heavy bass, psychedelic guitar, and a lot of cleaver rhyme scheme. With no touring under their belt just yet, Rewind has managed to put together a steady following with record breaking packed houses. Presently it’s about lots of new music, as well as putting new twists on a select few covers. The bands current focus is pumping out its new, self produced album “Just the Tip”. The music is hard to describe and yet satisfying to a vast audience. They rap but there not rappers. They rock but there not rockers. For being miles away from Motown city, when it’s time to lay down the groove they lay it down with punctuation. Rewind is just one hard working band with the epitome of performance art at there side. For not touring the band has managed to fix themselves on some very interesting and diverse events. From Sir Mix A lot to the dub all-stars of long beach aka “Sublime” to Onyx and Summer Jam the ride has been more wild and full of moments too extensive to summarize in an article or paragraph. The tip or the ice burg has just been smashed, so the fun and excitement and all around chaos will continue to flow for the five piece of Washington State. In the last ten years Rewind has had a lot of changes while keeping the same idea in tact. The drummers have changed, the vocalist have switched out and the bass playing has done a complete 180 from the early days. ...
