Van Preston, Country/ Southern Rock Musicianwww.vanpreston.com / email: van@vanpreston.com -----------Van began her musical journey to Nashville in 2003 determined to make her mark on the music business. Growing up in Arkansas, her music is rooted in rural country sounds and sentiment but her street smarts and open musical mind ensured that her sound would be edgy with a strong traditional foundation. It's her original material and strong, unique voice that make her immediately identifiable. Van's music is crossover enough that she has been asked to play prestigious rock festivals, despite the fact that she is primarily a Country/ Southern Rock artist. Van is continuing to build a sizable fan base in Nashville and across the country, and was recently selected to be the featured artist in the upcoming November issue of the Chicago Music Guide. The video for her current single "Toy" is available for viewing on her website, and is also one of a handful of independent artist videos chosen to be aired on mobile video phones in several major American and European cities. The video will also be airing on several TV Video shows across the U.S., Austraulia, and Europe. Recent honors for Van include being a semi-finalist in the 2005 UK Songwriting Competition, a 2005 Finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown, and being selected as one of two Artist/ Writers across the U.S. by the John Lennon Songwriting Organization to perform at the 2005 NAMM show in Indianapolis.Drawing upon a wealth of relationship experience from the joys and pains of love gone wrong, the issues and concerns for a modern girl, and life in general, Van paints a very unique portrait and story in each of her songs. It is with heartfelt emotion that she performs, drawing in the listener. She is the "Real Deal" according to those who hear her...singing from the heart about true life experiences. Thinking outside the box is a specialty with Van! She will be a Country Music fixture for years to come. Van's voice and lyrics have been compared to Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Patty Loveless, and Lucinda Williams- all women Van is proud to be associated with. Her music strikes a chord with all who hear it! "Van Preston has developed a style that is both distinctive and radio friendly. Her debut video is dynamic and exciting, and if there's any justice she'll end the year as one of Nashville's premier new talents." American Music Channel 2005"Van Preston's self-titled debut album is easily one of the most stylish and attractive projects to come out of Nashville this year." In Studio Magazine, September 2005 "Thanks for the new promo of Van Preston's CD. You sure caught my attention! "What Goes Around" is excellent. Van has a voice that makes it hard to push the eject button; you've just got to finish the song..." John Roths, KEOS Music Director, College Station, Texas "Van, I received your Independently released CD and got the opportunity to sample it. I just wanted to tell you that I think it's great! You're obviously very talented and I wouldn't be surprised if I flipped on CMT one day to see you in a video or something. Your style of country music is exactly what my listeners and myself prefer." $14.75 If there's a candidate for the Eagles of the 21st century, it's surely Rascal Flatts, with their seamless blend of country, rock, and pop, and their discography of multi-platinum albums hitting the top of both the country and pop charts. Their sixth album, UNSTOPPABLE, makes the aforementioned blend so smooth that only the most stubborn pigeonholer would still label them a country act. If not for the recurring pedal-steel swells and the occasional vocal twang, there'd ...

| | Kevin Michael Moyles Until We Meet Again CD (2003)
Van Preston album
$12.15 Kevin knew he was going to be a singer/songwriter, when at age five he stood on his bed gazing out the bedroom window, pretending there were crowds of people listening to him sing along with Elvis songs from his dad's record collection. He couldn't shake his hips like "The King", but he did do a mean upper lip curl and "I Need Your Love Tonight" cover. A performer was born! At age of twelve he picked up his first guitar, a Kaye six string from a friend for $20. After some initial plucking around and uninspired guitar lessons it sat idle in his bedroom for a year. But as in all great musician stories along came "the cute young girl", in this case it was Pauline Cecere. During this pivotal encounter, Kevin mentions that he heard a great song on the radio that ...
