THE BAND. The FinalEs -The missing link between earthy folk and soaring rock. Acoustic guitars and vocals that trance with a psychedelic, jazz, blues feel. The Finales are Rick, Tracy, Dave, Dean and Don from the outskirts of Philadelphia. Raised on local college and commercial radio with a west-coast twist. Their acoustic guitar driven songs converge from 30's jazz/blues, 50's exotica, 60's psychedelic folk and timeless college indy rock. Singer/guitarist Rick Berry's favorite trick is to have his Martin guitar morph in and out from acoustic to electric sounds, grooooovy man, and he likes to dance around a lot while playing his guitar on stage. He's been known to knock over cymbals....too bad he can't dance or it would "really look good". Just kiddin', he can cut a rug. Though, Rick's mood does swing even more than his music, his favorite quote is "I'm not psychotic, I'm just Italian". Singer/guitarist Tracy Berry 's voice has a "Lilith Fair" quality with the characteristic bite of Lucinda Williams but with her own unique style. She likes to press wildflowers and flits around a lot but we don't hold that against her because she's so darn cute and such a damn good writer. She can finger pick that guitar like the dickens and sings like a bird, eats like one too, so feeding her is a rather inexpensive proposition. Drummer Dave "Inertia" Wiesinger is rather stoic and analytical except when he goes off the deep end, and we do have that on tape! Dave doesn't say much, so when he does speak, it's usually worth listening to. The propeller is another story...Keys man Dean Leontidis wants to be rocket propelled down a railroad track while playing keys, ala "Emerson, Lake and Palmer". He'll do anything for attention. Where's the match?Bassist Don Bowers may look like Clapton, but he plays like Victor Wooten. He makes a fretless electric sound like an upright and has a style and personality that exemplifies jazz - smooth, complex and progressive. As for the propeller. If your drummer shows up at a photo shoot in a flak suit with an airplane propeller, you don't ask questions, you just start shooting. Keep it real...THE "THRILLS" PROJECT. It becomes a lovely thought...and an album...and will throw your spine out to boot!. Two years in the making and choosing solid songs with the most emotional pull. Recorded and mixed at RootCellar Studios by gear head Rick Berry, co-founder and lead singer. Rick admits, "the time was worth it, the mixes are lush and ambient while remaining raw and true. I want people to be able to crawl into these recordings". "Throw out a stone and watch the ripples turn into waves. We're not just making great songs, we are making a great stone to throw! We're making ripples." Drummer Dave Wiesinger expounds, "Watch ripples turn into tsunamis as they cross the ocean....."Thrills Will Come" is released Fall 2003. THE HISTORY. Singer/songwriting team Rick and Tracy met through the arts in 1992 and began collaborating to create the music and songs that kept persistently popping into their heads. With eclectic gear and a lot of sweat they began to build what would become RootCellar Studios. By 1998 they recorded a three song maxi-demo. April of 1999 Dean Leontidis joined the group. In 2000 they started a music publishing company, RootCellar Music LLC, and became ASCAP members. Later that year, beating the open mic pavement they gained local interest and debuted live on radio station WXLV 90. 3 FM. 2001 showcasing on The Phil Stahl TV Show featuring local artists. That summer Dave Wiesinger was inducted as drummer with his energetic rock/jazz style. They started recording "the Thrills Project", calling upon the talents of seasoned pros Ron Greenstein on upright bass and extraordinary violinist Travis Wetzel on signature songs such as "Think", "River Row" and "Porch and a Pillow". The Finales played at the premier original rock club Grape Street Pub in Philly and when they gigged at Trium Thrills Will Come Music | Category | Rock/Pop Albums, Rock CDs | | Label | The Finales | | Orig Year | 2003 | | CD Universe Part number | 7148035 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Oct 19, 2003 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Recording Time | 56 minutes |

$23.45 "A true jewel of the Canadian prairies" - Big Dave McLean"At a time when so much "roots music" actually doesn't seem to have any roots, Cobbler Shop Sessions occupies a unique place: a sort of love-child of Tom Waits and Memphis Minnie. I, for one, can't wait to hear the next installment." - Tim Williams'Little Miss Higgins is a fresh and welcome addition to the Canadian blues scene. $14.19 Lex & The Hood...A Band For All SeasonsLex & The Hood are a couple of irrepressible boomer boys who have been playing music together since the early 1980s. Their first brush with stardust came in 1986 when "Do The Halley's Comet" - written and sung by Lex and produced by The Hood - received airplay nationwide and was featured (along with its dance) on the then-popular Joe Franklin TV Show. But as luck would have it, the comet fizzled and so did their record. The duo went on to record a couple of albums as part of the Lex Ventura Band during the latter part of the decade. While one of the songs from that era - "Surfers From Space" - was something of a cult classic amongst astronophile slackers, their ...

Thrills Will Come songs
$16.45 myspace /NCadmitone1-11-06 LOOK OUT! Admit One is an up-and-coming local group from Edenton, in Northeastern, NC. The have released a debut CD, Leave Me Here and have a fast growing fan base! They are an ultimately secure band unit, all family! Micah (songwriter), just turned age 15, guitar and vocals, Nikolai, age 13, on drums, and (their father) Lars Simonsen, on bass, comprise Admit One. They have been referred to as 'a Nirvana sound, but with faith and conviction.' They aim to spread the Word and Hope of Jesus Christ to people, especially young people. On their CD, they mix bold Christian lyrical songs with other songs about insecurities and adjustments to life. Micah believes that if unbelievers can rock on some of his hard rock songs, they will end up listening to his Christian songs and hopefully win them to Christ. They have already been able to break into a non-Christian radio station under this approach. Many of the lyrics seem beyond their years and are quite universal in appeal. These boys have the right stuff, the full package, a serious plan. They would like to find an artist development deal that will allow them to grow in their musical talents without taking anything away from the gaining of a great education and a fun childhood! They are ...
